Then David the king stood up on his feet, and said,“ Hear me, my brothers, and my people! As for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, and for the footstool of our God; and I had prepared for the building.

大卫王站起来说：“我的弟兄，我的人民啊，请听我说。我本想建造一座殿宇安放耶和华的约柜，作我们上帝的脚凳，我已准备好建造的材料。

大卫王站起来，说：“我的兄弟，我的人民哪，你们要听我的话；我心里有意要建造一所安放耶和华的约柜的殿宇，作我们的神的脚凳，并且我已经准备好要建造。

大衛王站起來說：「我的弟兄，我的人民啊，請聽我說。我本想建造一座殿宇安放耶和華的約櫃，作我們上帝的腳凳，我已準備好建造的材料。

大衛王站起來，說：“我的兄弟，我的人民哪，你們要聽我的話；我心裡有意要建造一所安放耶和華的約櫃的殿宇，作我們的神的腳凳，並且我已經準備好要建造。

大衛王站起來，說：『我的弟兄、我的人民啊，你們要聽我；我心裏本有意思要為永恆主的約櫃建造一座安居之殿、作為我們之上帝的腳凳；我並且已經準備好要建造了。

大衛王立而言曰、我昆弟、我民歟、其聽我言、我有意建室、安置耶和華之約匱、而為我上帝之足几、已備具以待建造、

大闢王立、而告民曰、爾為我民、亦我兄弟、宜聽我言、我素志欲建殿宇、置我上帝耶和華法匱、及駐蹕之所、我曾備材、以待經營。

大衛王起立曰、我兄弟、我民歟、宜聽我言、我意欲建殿宇、安置主之約匱、為我天主駐蹕駐蹕原文作足蹬之所、我已備材以待建造、

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my fellow Israelites, my people. I had it in my heart to build a house as a place of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, for the footstool of our God, and I made plans to build it.

King David stood up. He said,“ All of you Israelites, listen to me. With all my heart I wanted to build a house for the Lord. I wanted it to be a place of peace and rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord. The ark is the stool for our God’s feet. I made plans to build the Lord’ s house.

Then King David rose to his feet and said:“ Hear me, my brothers and my people. I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God, and I made preparations for building.

David rose to his feet and said:“ My brothers and my people! It was my desire to build a Temple where the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant, God’s footstool, could rest permanently. I made the necessary preparations for building it,

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the LORD’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people; I had intended to build a permanent home for the ark of the covenant of the Lord and for the footstool of our God. So I had made preparations to build it.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Hear me, my brethren and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the footstool of our God, and had made preparations to build it.

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: as for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and for the footstool of our God; and I had made ready for the building.

Then King David rose to his feet and said,“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the Lord’s covenant and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build,

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people:[ As for me], I[ had] in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:

King David rose to his feet and said:“ Listen to me, my brothers and my people. I wanted to build a temple where the ark of the LORD’s covenant could be placed as a footstool for our God. I have made the preparations for building it.

Yahweh says,“ Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build to me? Where will I rest?

Exalt Yahweh our God. Worship at his footstool. He is Holy!

When David lived in his house, David said to Nathan the prophet,“ Behold, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of Yahweh’s covenant is in a tent.”Nathan said to David,“ Do all that is in your heart; for God is with you.”

How has the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger! He has cast the beauty of Israel down from heaven to the earth, and hasn’t remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

that his heart not be lifted up above his brothers, and that he not turn away from the commandment to the right hand, or to the left, to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children, in the middle of Israel.

“ This is my resting place forever. I will live here, for I have desired it.

Moreover the king’s servants came to bless our lord king David, saying,‘ May your God make the name of Solomon better than your name, and make his throne greater than your throne;’ and the king bowed himself on the bed.

David gave orders to gather together the foreigners who were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to cut dressed stones to build God’s house.David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the couplings; and bronze in abundance without weight;and cedar trees without number, for the Sidonians and the people of Tyre brought cedar trees in abundance to David.David said,“ Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for Yahweh must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries. I will therefore make preparation for it.” So David prepared abundantly before his death.

For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers,saying,“ I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the congregation I will sing your praise.”

David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.From Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took very much bronze, with which Solomon made the bronze sea, the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,he sent Hadoram his son to king David, to Greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him( for Hadadezer had wars with Tou); and he had with him all kinds of vessels of gold and silver and bronze.King David also dedicated these to Yahweh, with the silver and the gold that he carried away from all the nations; from Edom, from Moab, from the children of Ammon, from the Philistines, and from Amalek.

you shall surely set him whom Yahweh your God chooses as king over yourselves. You shall set as king over you one from among your brothers. You may not put a foreigner over you, who is not your brother.

“ Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel.But Yahweh said to David my father,‘ Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart.

When the king lived in his house, and Yahweh had given him rest from all his enemies all around,the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but God’s ark dwells within curtains.”

These are they whom David set over the service of song in Yahweh’s house, after the ark came to rest there.

I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the assembly, I will praise you.

‘ heaven is my throne, and the earth a footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build me?’ says the Lord.‘ Or what is the place of my rest?

“ Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids;until I find out a place for Yahweh, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar:“ We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.Arise, Yahweh, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength.

Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for Yahweh’s house one hundred thousand talents of gold, one million talents of silver, and bronze and iron without weight; for it is in abundance. I have also prepared timber and stone; and you may add to them.

Then all Israel gathered themselves to David to Hebron, saying,“ Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.In times past, even when Saul was king, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. Yahweh your God said to you,‘ You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be prince over my people Israel.’”So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before Yahweh; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to Yahweh’s word by Samuel.

Someone told Jacob, and said,“ Behold, your son Joseph comes to you,” and Israel strengthened himself, and sat on the bed.
