Jeremiah 第22章
1Thus says the Lord: “Go down to the house of the king of Judah and speak there this word,
2and say, 22:2 ch. 21:12‘Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, who sits on the throne of David, you, and your servants, and your people who enter these gates.
3Thus says the Lord: 22:3 ch. 7:5, 6; 21:12Do justice and righteousness, and deliver from the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And 22:3 Lev. 19:33do no wrong or violence 22:3 [Ps. 82:3; Isa. 1:17] to the resident alien, 22:3 ch. 7:5, 6; 21:12the fatherless, and the widow, nor 22:3 ver. 17; [ch. 26:15]shed innocent blood in this place.
4For if you will indeed obey this word, 22:4 ch. 17:25then there shall enter the gates of this house kings who sit on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their servants and their people.
5But if you will not obey these words, I 22:5 ch. 49:13; 51:14; Gen. 22:16; Amos 6:8; [Heb. 6:13] swear by myself, declares the Lord, that 22:5 ch. 7:34; 25:11, 18; 44:6, 22; Isa. 64:10; Ezek. 5:14this house shall become a desolation.
6For thus says the Lord concerning the house of the king of Judah:
“‘You are like Gilead to me,
like the summit of 22:6 ver. 20, 23Lebanon,
yet surely I will make you a desert,
22:6 [ch. 6:8]an uninhabited city.22:6 Hebrew cities
each with his weapons,
22:7 2 Kgs. 19:23; Isa. 37:24and they shall cut down your choicest cedars
and cast them into the fire.
8“‘And many nations will pass by this city, and every man will say to his neighbor, 22:8 See ch. 5:19“Why has the Lord dealt thus with this great city?”
922:9 Deut. 29:25, 26And they will answer, “Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God and worshiped other gods and served them.”’”
1022:10 [2 Chr. 35:24, 25] Weep not for him who is dead,
nor grieve for him,
22:10 ver. 11but weep bitterly for him who goes away,
for he shall return no more
to see his native land.
Message to the Sons of Josiah
11For thus says the Lord concerning Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and 22:11 [2 Kgs. 23:34; 2 Chr. 36:4; Ezek. 19:4]who went away from this place: “He shall return here no more,
1322:13 Hab. 2:12; See Isa. 5:18-23“Woe to him who builds his house by 22:13 [Mic. 3:10] unrighteousness,
and his upper rooms by injustice,
22:13 Lev. 19:13; 25:39, 40; Deut. 24:14, 15; James 5:4who makes his neighbor serve him for nothing
and does not give him his wages,
14who says, ‘I will build myself a great house
with spacious upper rooms,’
who cuts out windows for it,
paneling it with cedar
and 22:14 Ezek. 23:14painting it with vermilion.
15Do you think you are a king
because you compete in cedar?
Did not your father eat and drink
and 22:15 [2 Kgs. 23:25] do justice and righteousness?
22:15 Ps. 128:2; Eccles. 8:12; Isa. 3:10Then it was well with him.
1622:16 Prov. 31:9; [Isa. 1:17] He judged the cause of the poor and needy;
22:16 [See ver. 15above] then it was well.
Is not this 22:16 [Judg. 2:10]to know me?
declares the Lord.
17But you have eyes and heart
only for your dishonest gain,
and for practicing oppression and violence.”
18Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah:
22:18 [1 Kgs. 13:30] ‘Ah, my brother!’ or ‘Ah, sister!’
They shall not lament for him, saying,
22:18 [ch. 34:5]‘Ah, lord!’ or ‘Ah, his majesty!’
19With the burial of a donkey 22:19 ch. 8:2; 36:30; [Isa. 14:19]he shall be buried,
dragged and dumped beyond the gates of Jerusalem.”
20“Go up to Lebanon, and cry out,
and lift up your voice in Bashan;
cry out from 22:20 Num. 27:12; Deut. 32:49Abarim,
for all 22:20 [ch. 3:1]your lovers are destroyed.
21I spoke to you in your prosperity,
but you said, ‘I will not listen.’
that you have not obeyed my voice.
2222:22 ch. 23:1; [Ezek. 34:10] The wind shall shepherd all your shepherds,
and 22:22 [See ver. 20above] your lovers shall go into captivity;
22:22 ch. 3:25then you will be ashamed and confounded
because of all your evil.
nested among the cedars,
how you will be pitied when pangs come upon you,
2422:24 Isa. 49:18; See Ezek. 5:11“As I live, declares the Lord, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, were 22:24 1 Kgs. 21:8; Song 8:6; Hag. 2:23the signet ring on my right hand, yet I would tear you off
25and 22:25 ch. 34:20give you 22:25 ch. 39:17; [Deut. 1:17]into the hand of those who seek your life, into the hand of those of whom you are afraid, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
2622:26 2 Kgs. 24:15; 2 Chr. 36:10I will hurl you and 22:26 [2 Kgs. 24:8]the mother who bore you into another country, where you were not born, and there you shall die.
27But to the land to which they will long to return, there they shall not return.”
Why are he and his children hurled and cast
into a 22:28 See ch. 15:14land that they do not know?
hear the word of the Lord!
30Thus says the Lord:
“Write this man down as 22:30 [1 Chr. 3:17; Matt. 1:12] childless,
a man who shall not succeed in his days,
22:30 ch. 36:30for none of his offspring shall succeed
22:30 ch. 36:30in sitting on the throne of David
and ruling again in Judah.”
