Ezekiel 第28章
Prophecy Against the Prince of Tyre
1The word of the Lord came to me:
28:2 [Rev. 18:7] “Because your heart is proud,
and 28:2 [ver. 9] you have said, ‘I am a god,
I sit in the seat of the gods,
in the heart of the seas,’
yet 28:2 Isa. 31:3you are but a man, and no god,
28:2 ver. 6though you make your heart like the heart of a god—
no secret is hidden from you;
4by your wisdom and your understanding
28:4 [Zech. 9:3]you have made wealth for yourself,
and have gathered gold and silver
into your treasuries;
5by your great wisdom in your trade
you have increased your wealth,
and 28:5 [See ver. 2above]your heart has become proud in your wealth—
6therefore thus says the Lord God:
28:6 ver. 2Because you make your heart
like the heart of a god,
the most ruthless of the nations;
and they shall draw their swords against 28:7 [ver. 17]the beauty of your wisdom
and defile 28:7 [ver. 17]your splendor.
28:8 [ch. 32:20]and you shall die the death of the slain
in the heart of the seas.
in the presence of those who kill you,
though 28:9 [See ver. 2above]you are but a man, and no god,
in the hands of those who slay you?
by the hand of foreigners;
28:10 See ch. 17:24for I have spoken, declares the Lord God.”
A Lament over the King of Tyre
11Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me:
“You were the signet of perfection,28:12 The meaning of the Hebrew phrase is uncertain
28:13 [ch. 27:16] every precious stone was your covering,
beryl, onyx, and jasper,
sapphire,28:13 Or lapis lazuli28:13 [ch. 27:16] emerald, and carbuncle;
and crafted in gold were your settings
and your engravings.28:13 The meaning of the Hebrew phrase is uncertain
28:13 ver. 15On the day that you were created
they were prepared.
14You were an anointed 28:14 Ex. 25:20; 1 Kgs. 8:7guardian cherub.
I placed you;28:14 The meaning of the Hebrew phrase is uncertain you were on 28:14 [ch. 20:40]the holy mountain of God;
in the midst of the stones of fire you walked.
15You were blameless in your ways
28:15 ver. 13from the day you were created,
till unrighteousness was found in you.
you were filled with violence in your midst, and you sinned;
so I cast you as a profane thing from 28:16 [See ver. 14above] the mountain of God,
and I destroyed you,28:16 Or banished you28:16 [See ver. 14above]O guardian cherub,
from the midst of the stones of fire.
you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor.
I cast you to the ground;
I exposed you before kings,
to feast their eyes on you.
18By the multitude of your iniquities,
in the unrighteousness of your trade
you profaned your sanctuaries;
it consumed you,
and I turned you to ashes on the earth
28:18 [ver. 17]in the sight of all who saw you.
19All who know you among the peoples
are appalled at you;
and shall be no more forever.”

Israel Gathered in Security
25“Thus says the Lord God: 28:25 See ch. 11:17When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and 28:25 [See ver. 22above] manifest my holiness in them in the sight of the nations, 28:25 ch. 36:28; 37:25then they shall dwell in their own land that I gave to my servant Jacob.
