Send the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni and Ashkenaz against it. Appoint a commander against it. Send many horses against it. Let them be as many as a huge number of locusts.
  • Isaiah 58:1 - The Lord told me, “Shout out loud. Do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet. Tell my people that they have refused to obey me. Tell the family of Jacob how much they have sinned.
  • Isaiah 24:5 - The earth is polluted by its people. They haven’t obeyed the laws of the Lord. They haven’t done what he told them to do. They’ve broken the covenant that will last forever.

  • Ezekiel 33:6 - But suppose the guard sees the enemies coming. And he does not blow the trumpet to warn the people. The enemies come and kill one of them. Then their life has been taken away from them because they sinned. But I will hold the guard responsible for their death.’
  • 1 Corinthians 15:52 - That will happen in a flash, as quickly as you can wink an eye. It will happen at the blast of the last trumpet. Then the dead will be raised to live forever. And we will be changed.

  • Jeremiah 48:40 - The Lord says, “Look! Nebuchadnezzar is like an eagle diving down. He is spreading his wings over Moab.
  • Hosea 4:6 - My people are destroyed because they do not know me. “You priests have refused to obey me. So I will refuse to accept you as my priests. You have not paid any attention to my law. So I will not let your children be my priests.
  • Ezekiel 7:14 - They have blown trumpets. They have made everything ready. But no one will go into battle. I will soon pour out my great anger on the whole crowd.

  • Jeremiah 6:1 - The Lord says, “People of Benjamin, run for safety! Run away from Jerusalem! Blow trumpets in the city of Tekoa! Warn everyone in Beth Hakkerem! Horrible trouble is coming from the north. The Babylonians will destroy everything with awful power.
  • Ezekiel 16:59 - The Lord and King says, “I will punish you in keeping with what you have done. I sealed with a promise the covenant I made with you. You hated that promise. And you broke my covenant.
  • Zephaniah 1:16 - Trumpet blasts and battle cries will be heard. Soldiers will attack cities that have forts and corner towers.
  • Zechariah 9:14 - Then the Lord will appear over his people. His arrows will flash like lightning. The Lord and King will blow the trumpet of his thunder. He’ll march out like a storm in the south.
  • Isaiah 18:3 - Pay attention, all you people of the world! Listen, all you who live on earth! Banners will be lifted up on the mountains. And you will see them. Trumpets will be blown. And you will hear them.
  • Habakkuk 1:8 - Their horses are faster than leopards. They are meaner than wolves at sunset. Their horsemen charge straight into battle. They ride in from far away. They come down like an eagle diving for its food.
  • Hebrews 8:8 - But God found fault with the people. He said, “The days are coming, announces the Lord. I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel. I will also make it with the people of Judah.
  • Hebrews 8:9 - It will not be like the covenant I made with their people of long ago. That was when I took them by the hand. I led them out of Egypt. My new covenant will be different because they didn’t remain faithful to my old covenant. So I turned away from them, announces the Lord.
  • Hebrews 8:10 - This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds. I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God. And they will be my people.
  • Hebrews 8:11 - People will not teach their neighbor anymore. They will not say to one another, ‘Know the Lord.’ That’s because everyone will know me. From the least important to the most important, all of them will know me.
  • Hebrews 8:12 - I will forgive their evil ways. I will not remember their sins anymore.” ( Jeremiah 31:31–34 )
  • Hebrews 8:13 - God called this covenant “new.” So he has done away with the first one. And what is out of date and has been done away with will soon disappear.
  • Jeremiah 4:13 - Look! Our enemies are approaching like the clouds. Their chariots are coming like a strong wind. Their horses are faster than eagles. How terrible it will be for us! We’ll be destroyed!
  • Hosea 5:8 - “My people, blow trumpets in Gibeah! Blow horns in Ramah! Shout the battle cry in Bethel! Say to the people of Benjamin, ‘Lead on into battle!’
  • Hosea 6:7 - Just as at the city of Adam, they disobeyed me, they have broken the covenant I made with them. They were not faithful to me there.
  • Deuteronomy 28:49 - The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away. It will come from the ends of the earth. It will dive down on you like an eagle. You won’t understand that nation’s language.
