  • 2 Chronicles 30:11 - In spite of that, some people from Asher, Manasseh and Zebulun made themselves humble. They went to Jerusalem.
  • Isaiah 2:11 - Anyone who brags will be brought low. Anyone who is proud will be made humble. The Lord alone will be honored at that time.

  • 2 Chronicles 33:12 - When Manasseh was in trouble, he asked the Lord his God to help him. He made himself very humble in the sight of the God of his people.
  • 2 Chronicles 12:12 - Rehoboam had made himself humble in the Lord’s sight. So the Lord turned his anger away from him. Rehoboam wasn’t totally destroyed. In fact, some good things happened in Judah.
  • 2 Chronicles 32:26 - Then Hezekiah had a change of heart. He was sorry he had been proud. The people of Jerusalem were also sorry they had sinned. So the Lord wasn’t angry with them as long as Hezekiah was king.
  • Luke 18:14 - “I tell you, the tax collector went home accepted by God. But not the Pharisee. All those who lift themselves up will be made humble. And those who make themselves humble will be lifted up.”
  • Luke 1:52 - He has brought down rulers from their thrones. But he has lifted up people who are not considered important.
  • Matthew 23:12 - People who lift themselves up will be made humble. And people who make themselves humble will be lifted up.
  • Luke 14:11 - All those who lift themselves up will be made humble. And those who make themselves humble will be lifted up.”
  • Proverbs 29:23 - Pride brings a person low. But those whose spirits are low will be honored.
  • James 4:10 - Be humble in front of the Lord. And he will lift you up.
