民數記 16:44 - 耶和華吩咐摩西說：

民數記 16:46 - 摩西對亞倫說：“你要拿火鏟，取祭壇的火炭放在上面，加上香，趕快帶到群體那裡去，為他們贖罪，因為有震怒從耶和華面前出來，災殃已經開始了。”
民數記 16:47 - 亞倫照摩西的吩咐，拿了火鏟，跑到會眾當中，果然，災殃已經在人民當中開始。他就盛上香，為人民贖罪。
民數記 16:48 - 他站在死人和活人之間，瘟疫就止住。
