The Letter to Laodicea

15I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot.
16So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit3:16 Or spit you out of my mouth.
17For you say, ‘I’m rich; I have become wealthy and need nothing,’3:17 Hs 12:8; Zch 11:5; 1Co 4:8 and you don’t realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked.

21 “To the one who conquers I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, 3:21 Mt 19:28; 2Tm 2:12; Rv 20:4 just as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
