Zion, the City of God
A psalm of the sons of Korah. A song.
1His foundation is on the holy mountains. Ps 78:69; Is 28:16
2The Lord loves the gates of Zion
more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Ps 78:67-68
3Glorious things are said about you,
city of God. Ps 48:8Selah
4“I will mention those who know Me:
Rahab, Babylon, Philistia, Tyre, and Cush —
each one was born there.” Is 19:23-25; 56:6-7; Zch 2:10-12
5And it will be said of Zion,
“This one and that one were born in her.”
The Most High Himself will establish her. Ps 48:8; Is 2:2
6When He registers the peoples,
the Lord will record,
“This one was born there.” Is 4:3; Ezk 13:9Selah
7Singers and dancers alike will say,
“My whole source of joy is Lit “All my springs, are in you.” Ps 46:4; 68:25
