我说：你只要敬畏我，领受训诲；如此，你的住处不致照我所拟定的除灭。只是你们从早起来，就在一切事上败坏自己。”

我告斯民曰、爾當寅畏我躬、承我教誨、則不降罰、絶爾居所、然爾惟惡是作、靡有已時、

我諭斯民曰、爾當敬畏我、承受教誨、則在我降諸罰之際、爾之居所尚不致絕、則在我降諸罰之際爾之居所尚不致絕或作如此爾之居宅不致於循我所欲降之罰而毀滅然於凡所為、惟惡是務、惟惡是務或作仍殷勤自敗自壞

Of Jerusalem I thought,‘ Surely you will fear me and accept correction!’ Then her place of refuge would not be destroyed, nor all my punishments come upon her. But they were still eager to act corruptly in all they did.

Here is what I thought about Jerusalem.‘ Surely you will have respect for me. Surely you will accept my warning.’ Then the city you think is safe would not be destroyed. And I would not have to punish you so much. But they still wanted to go on sinning in every way they could.

I said,‘ Surely you will fear me; you will accept correction. Then your dwelling would not be cut off according to all that I have appointed against you.’ But all the more they were eager to make all their deeds corrupt.

I thought,‘ Surely they will have reverence for me now! Surely they will listen to my warnings. Then I won’t need to strike again, destroying their homes.’ But no, they get up early to continue their evil deeds.

I said: You will certainly fear me and accept correction. Then her dwelling place would not be cut off based on all that I had allocated to her. However, they became more corrupt in all their actions.

I said,‘ You will certainly revere Me, You will accept discipline.’ So her dwelling will not be eliminated In accordance with everything that I have stipulated for her. Instead, they were eager to corrupt all their deeds.

I said,‘ Surely you will fear Me, You will receive instruction’— So that her dwelling would not be cut off, Despite everything for which I punished her. But they rose early and corrupted all their deeds.

I said, Only fear thou me; receive correction; so her dwelling shall not be cut off, according to all that I have appointed concerning her: but they rose early and corrupted all their doings.

I thought: You will certainly fear Me and accept correction. Then her dwelling place would not be cut off based on all that I had allocated to her. However, they became more corrupt in all their actions.

I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early,[ and] corrupted all their doings.

I thought,‘ Certainly you will respect me! Now you will accept correction!’ If she had done so, her home would not be destroyed by all the punishments I have threatened. But they eagerly sinned in everything they did.

I said,“ Just fear me. Receive correction, so that her dwelling won’t be cut off, according to all that I have appointed concerning her.” But they rose early and corrupted all their doings.

以法莲深深地败坏，如在基比亚的日子一样。耶和华必记念他们的罪孽，追讨他们的罪恶。

耶利米对西底家说：“耶和华万军之神、以色列的神如此说：你若出去归降巴比伦王的首领，你的命就必存活，这城也不致被火焚烧，你和你的全家都必存活。

我为我葡萄园所做之外，还有什么可做的呢？我指望结好葡萄，怎么倒结了野葡萄呢？

说：“巴不得你在这日子知道关系你平安的事；无奈这事现在是隐藏的，叫你的眼看不出来。因为日子将到，你的仇敌必筑起土垒，周围环绕你，四面困住你，并要扫灭你和你里头的儿女，连一块石头也不留在石头上，因你不知道眷顾你的时候。”

那时就有坐大卫宝座的君王和首领，他们与犹大人，并耶路撒冷的居民，或坐车，或骑马，进入这城的各门，而且这城必存到永远。也必有人从犹大城邑和耶路撒冷四围的各处，从便雅悯地、高原、山地，并南地而来，都带燔祭、平安祭、素祭，和乳香，并感谢祭，到耶和华的殿去。你们若不听从我，不以安息日为圣日，仍在安息日担担子，进入耶路撒冷的各门，我必在各门中点火；这火也必烧毁耶路撒冷的宫殿，不能熄灭。”

埃及王在耶路撒冷废了他，又罚犹大国银子一百他连得，金子一他连得。埃及王尼哥立约哈斯的哥哥以利雅敬作犹大和耶路撒冷的王，改名叫约雅敬，又将约哈斯带到埃及去了。约雅敬登基的时候年二十五岁，在耶路撒冷作王十一年，行耶和华他神眼中看为恶的事。巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒上来攻击他，用铜链锁着他，要将他带到巴比伦去。尼布甲尼撒又将耶和华殿里的器皿带到巴比伦，放在他神的庙里。约雅敬其余的事和他所行可憎的事，并他一切的行为，都写在以色列和犹大列王记上。他儿子约雅斤接续他作王。约雅斤登基的时候年八岁，在耶路撒冷作王三个月零十天，行耶和华眼中看为恶的事。过了一年，尼布甲尼撒差遣人将约雅斤和耶和华殿里各样宝贵的器皿带到巴比伦，就立约雅斤的叔叔西底家作犹大和耶路撒冷的王。

惟恐你们败坏自己，雕刻偶像，仿佛什么男像女像，

利玛利的儿子比加一日杀了犹大人十二万，都是勇士，因为他们离弃了耶和华他们列祖的神。有一个以法莲中的勇士，名叫细基利，杀了王的儿子玛西雅和管理王宫的押斯利甘，并宰相以利加拿。以色列人掳了他们的弟兄，连妇人带儿女共有二十万，又掠了许多的财物，带到撒玛利亚去了。

祸哉，那些在床上图谋罪孽、造作奸恶的！天一发亮，因手有能力就行出来了。他们贪图田地就占据，贪图房屋便夺取；他们欺压人，霸占房屋和产业。

我留心听，听见他们说不正直的话。无人悔改恶行，说：‘我做的是什么呢？’他们各人转奔己路，如马直闯战场。

主所应许的尚未成就，有人以为他是耽延，其实不是耽延，乃是宽容你们，不愿有一人沉沦，乃愿人人都悔改。

神观看世界，见是败坏了；凡有血气的人在地上都败坏了行为。

他说：“他们诚然是我的百姓，不行虚假的子民。”这样，他就作了他们的救主。

所以耶和华使亚述王的将帅来攻击他们，用铙钩钩住玛拿西，用铜链锁住他，带到巴比伦去。

这虔诚的事以后，亚述王西拿基立来侵入犹大，围困一切坚固城，想要攻破占据。希西家见西拿基立来，定意要攻打耶路撒冷，
