悖逆耶和華不祈求我者、必戮之而後已、

背逆耶和華、不尋求耶和華、不祈禱耶和華者、我悉必翦滅、

those who turn back from following the Lord and neither seek the Lord nor inquire of him.”

I will destroy those who stop following the Lord. They no longer look to him or ask him for advice.

And I will destroy those who used to worship me but now no longer do. They no longer ask for the Lord’s guidance or seek my blessings.”

those who have turned back from following Yahweh, and those who haven’t sought Yahweh nor inquired after him.

For My people have committed a double evil: They have abandoned Me, the fountain of living water, and dug cisterns for themselves, cracked cisterns that cannot hold water.

Oh sinful nation, people weighed down with iniquity, brood of evildoers, depraved children! They have abandoned the Lord; they have despised the Holy One of Israel; they have turned their backs on Him.

You have left Me. This is the Lord’s declaration. You have turned your back, so I have stretched out My hand against you and destroyed you. I am tired of showing compassion.

Have you not brought this on yourself by abandoning the Lord your God while He was leading you along the way?

The people did not turn to Him who struck them; they did not seek the Lord of Hosts.

For by uttering boastful, empty words, they seduce, with fleshly desires and debauchery, people who have barely escaped from those who live in error.They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption, since people are enslaved to whatever defeats them.For if, having escaped the world’s impurity through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in these things and defeated, the last state is worse for them than the first.For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy command delivered to them.It has happened to them according to the true proverb: A dog returns to its own vomit, and,“ a sow, after washing itself, wallows in the mud.”

Yet in spite of all this, her treacherous sister Judah didn’t return to Me with all her heart— only in pretense.” This is the Lord’s declaration.

But My righteous one will live by faith; and if he draws back, I have no pleasure in him.But we are not those who draw back and are destroyed, but those who have faith and obtain life.

My people are bent on turning from Me. Though they call to Him on high, He will not exalt them at all.

“ I regret that I made Saul king, for he has turned away from following Me and has not carried out My instructions.” So Samuel became angry and cried out to the Lord all night.

In all his scheming, the wicked arrogantly thinks:“ There is no accountability, since God does not exist.”

But as for those who turn aside to crooked ways, the Lord will banish them with the evildoers. Peace be with Israel.

how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first spoken by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him.

Israel, if you act promiscuously, don’t let Judah become guilty! Do not go to Gilgal or make a pilgrimage to Beth-aven, and do not swear an oath: As the Lord lives!For Israel is as obstinate as a stubborn cow. Can the Lord now shepherd them like a lamb in an open meadow?

Now if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and practices iniquity, and I put a stumbling block in front of him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die because of his sin and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. Yet I will hold you responsible for his blood.

All of them are as hot as an oven, and they consume their rulers. All their kings fall; not one of them calls on Me.

The Lord looks down from heaven on the human race to see if there is one who is wise, one who seeks God.All have turned away; all alike have become corrupt. There is no one who does good, not even one.

“ But Jacob, you have not called on Me, because, Israel, you have become weary of Me.

There is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.

The words of his mouth are malicious and deceptive; he has stopped acting wisely and doing good.
