Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of the Lord’s wrath.” In the fire of his jealousy the whole earth will be consumed, for he will make a sudden end of all who live on the earth.

Their silver and gold won’t save them on the day the Lord pours out his anger. The whole earth will be burned up when his jealous anger blazes out. Everyone who lives on earth will come to a sudden end.”

Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them on the day of the wrath of the Lord. In the fire of his jealousy, all the earth shall be consumed; for a full and sudden end he will make of all the inhabitants of the earth.

Your silver and gold will not save you on that day of the Lord’s anger. For the whole land will be devoured by the fire of his jealousy. He will make a terrifying end of all the people on earth.

Their silver and their gold will be unable to rescue them on the day of the LORD’s wrath. The whole earth will be consumed by the fire of his jealousy, for he will make a complete, yes, a horrifying end of all the inhabitants of the earth.

耶和華曰、爾宜俟我、迨我起而虜掠之日、蓋我已定志、招集諸族、會聚諸國、傾我忿恚、洩我烈怒於其上、全地將為我憤嫉之火所滅、

棄銀於街衢、視金若穢物、耶和華震怒之日、金銀不能拯之、不能飫其心、果其腹、蓋為窒礙陷罪之物也、

震怒之日、資財無益、惟義拯人於死、

耶和華曰、我必盡滅萬類於地、殲滅人民牲畜、飛鳥海魚、及凡窒礙、與行惡者、我必絕人於地、耶和華言之矣、

耶和華曰、將以我所造之人、以及牲畜昆蟲飛鳥、翦滅於地、蓋我造之而悔矣、

耶和華使大地空虛荒蕪、傾而覆之、散其居民、庶人與祭司、僕與主、婢女與主母、購者與售者、貸人者與貸於人者、取利者與納利者、無不若是、地將空曠、遍處荒涼、此言耶和華已言之矣、地悲哀而衰殘、世頹敗而落寞、民中位高者亦頹敗、地為居民污衊、以其犯法律、違典章、背厥永約、故地亡於咒詛、處其上者干咎、居民被燬、所餘無幾、新釀悲哀、葡萄衰殘、心懽愉者、無不慨歎、播鼗之音息、歡忭之聲寂、鼓琴之樂歇、不復飲酒而歌、飲者以醇醪為苦、荒涼之邑傾毀、第宅盡閉、無人得入、人因乏酒、號呼於衢、喜樂俱晦、境內之歡娛已杳、城中荒涼、邑門破壞、

我儕可犯主忌乎、抑力勝於主乎、○

我必使耶路撒冷為墟、作野犬之居所、猶大諸邑荒蕪、無人居處、

緣此、萬軍之主耶和華、以色列之能者曰、噫嘻、我將洩忿於我仇、報復於我敵、

即惡人於患難之日獲免、在震怒之時得脫、

利盡天下、而失其生、何益之有、人將以何者易其生乎、

我將謂我靈曰、靈乎、爾多財貨積為歷年之用、可安然飲食喜樂也、惟上帝謂之曰、無知者乎、今夜將索爾靈、則所備者誰歸、凡積財於己、而於上帝前不富者亦如是、○

猶大人行耶和華所惡、犯罪激耶和華之忌、較其列祖尤甚、

耶和華曰、智者勿誇其智、勇者勿誇其勇、富者勿誇其富、凡誇者、當誇其明哲、知我為耶和華、施行慈愛公平仁義於地、蓋我以此為悅、耶和華言之矣、

是日我必怒而棄之、掩面不顧、使被吞噬、多遭災禍、時彼必曰、此災臨我、豈非以我上帝不在我中乎、

若此者、耶和華必不赦宥、其怒與忌、如烟之出、必攻斯人、以書所載之詛、加乎其身、塗其名於天下、在以色列諸支派中、耶和華必區別之、循律書所載約中之詛言、加以禍害、爾後世子孫、及彼遠人、見此地之災、暨耶和華所降之疾、又見硫磺與鹽、火焚遍地、不種不產、不生草萊、如所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁、為耶和華忿怒所傾覆者、列邦人皆問曰、耶和華何為行此於斯土、其怒若是之烈、果何故乎、人將對曰、其祖之上帝耶和華、導之出埃及時、與之立約、而彼背之、奉事崇拜他神、素所未識、耶和華亦未嘗聽其服從者、故耶和華震怒斯土、以書所載之詛加之、耶和華以氣憤、忿怒恚恨、拔之斯土、投於異邦、有如今日、

以崇邱激其怒、雕像攖其憤兮、

彼以非神者觸我忌、以虛無者激我怒、我將以異族觸彼忌、以蚩氓激彼怒、蓋我怒如火燎、燒及陰府、焚燬大地、暨其出產、燃彼山基、我將以災積於其身、以我之矢、射之務盡、使其因饑而瘦、因熱而敗、因苦而滅、害於獸齒、傷於蟲毒、外遭鋒刃、內受驚惶、少男幼女、乳子白叟、淪胥以亡、

是日乃震怒之日、急難困苦之日、毀滅淒涼之日、幽暗晦冥之日、密雲深黑之日、

瑪革提施居民歟、爾其號咷、因貿易者敗亡、運銀者見絕矣、

乞者死、天使扶至亞伯拉罕之懷、富者亦死而葬、陰間痛苦之際、舉目遙見亞伯拉罕、有拉撒路在其懷、

恃其貨財、誇其富足者、莫能贖其昆弟、為付贖金於上帝、俾其永存不朽、蓋其生命、贖價甚重、永久無成兮、

我必散爾於異邦、襲爾以白刃、荒涼爾土、闃寂爾邑、爾既寓於敵國、斯土荒寂、其壤則閒、而享安息、地既荒寂、必享安息、爾居斯土、其壤所未獲之安息、此時必得享之、

耶和華歟、何時而止、爾豈永怒、憤嫉如火之焚乎、

維時、我必使猶大諸邑、及耶路撒冷街衢、無有歡欣喜樂之聲、與新娶者及新婦之聲、以斯土成為荒蕪矣、

我又觀之、見沃田成為荒野、諸邑毀於耶和華烈怒之前、蓋耶和華云、全地將成荒蕪、然我不盡滅之、因是大地哀號、諸天幽暗、蓋我言之定之、不回厥志、亦不轉而置之、騎兵射者喧譁、諸邑因之而遁、入叢林、攀巖石、諸邑被棄、無一居人、

我必鞫爾、如鞫背夫流血之婦、以震怒忌嫉所流之血、加於爾身、

有狀若手、伸而握余首髮、神乃舉我、至天地之間、導我於上帝異象中、至耶路撒冷殿、內院北向之門、在彼有激怒致忌之像、亦見以色列上帝之榮光、如我在平原所見之狀然、彼諭我曰、人子歟、爾其舉目北望、我則舉目北望、見壇門之北、有致忌之像在內、

富人之財、為其堅城、視若高垣、

上帝必傾覆爾、永不復起、除爾於幕中、拔爾於生人之地兮、義人見之而懼、且將哂之、曰、試觀斯人、不以上帝為力、惟恃多財、以惡自固兮、

故主耶和華曰、我必傾我忿怒於斯土、在其人民牲畜、田木土產、如火之烈、焚燬不熄、○

是日也、人之金銀偶像、為崇拜而造者、必投之鼴鼠蝙蝠、耶和華興起、震動大地之時、人將入於巖之穴、磐之隙、以避耶和華之威烈、及其赫赫之榮光、

主耶和華云、列國遺民及以東全地、滿心喜樂、衷懷輕藐、據有我地、驅逐居民、刦掠殆盡、故我忌嫉、憤烈若火、而加譴責、爾其指以色列地預言、對山岡澗谷曰、主耶和華云、因爾負異邦之毀辱、我以忿嫉而言、
