But the Lord will take away her possessions and destroy her power on the sea, and she will be consumed by fire.

「人子啊，你去告訴泰爾王，主耶和華這樣說，『你心裡高傲，說，我是神，我坐在海中神的寶座上。你雖然自以為像神，但事實上你不是神，不過是人。

使你墜入墳墓，你必慘死在大海中。

以下是關於泰爾的預言：他施的船隻哀號吧！因為從基提傳來消息，說泰爾已被毀滅，房屋和港口都蕩然無存。海邊的居民，西頓的商賈啊，要靜默無言。你們的商人飄洋過海，把西曷的糧食、尼羅河流域的農產都運到泰爾。泰爾成為列國的商埠。西頓啊，你要羞愧！你這海上的堡壘啊，大海否認你，說：「我沒有經歷過產痛，沒有生過孩子，也未曾養育過兒女。」埃及人聽見泰爾的消息，都感到傷痛。海邊的居民啊，你們要去他施！你們要哀號！這就是你們那歷史悠久、充滿歡樂的城嗎？她曾經派人到遠方居住。

我要把你們的兒女賣給猶大人，猶大人必把他們賣給遠方的示巴人。這是耶和華說的。」

因為貿易發達，你便充滿暴力，犯罪作惡。因此，看守約櫃的基路伯天使啊，我把你當作污穢之物逐出我的山，從閃閃發光的寶石中除掉你。

船夫把你搖到汪洋之中，但東風要把你擊碎在海中。你的財富、貨物、商品、水手、舵手、縫匠、客商、戰士和人民在你傾覆的日子都要沉到深海裡。你舵手的哀號聲必震動海岸，所有的船夫、水手、舵手都必棄船登岸，為你放聲痛哭，把塵埃撒在頭上，在灰中打滾，又為你剃頭披麻，悲痛哀傷。他們在痛哭中為你唱起哀歌，哀悼你說，有哪一座城像泰爾一樣在深海中銷聲匿跡呢？你的貨物由海上運出，滿足了許多國家；你的資財和貨物使地上的君王富裕。然而，如今你在汪洋中被海浪擊碎，你的貨物和人民都一同沉沒了。沿海的居民因你而驚駭，君王都嚇得面容失色。各國商人都嗤笑你，你那可怕的末日來臨了，你將永遠不復存在。』」

不義之財毫無益處，公義救人脫離死亡。

所以主耶和華說，『泰爾啊，我要跟你作對，我要激起多國來攻擊你，就像大海掀起波浪一樣。他們要破壞你的牆垣，拆毀你的城樓。我要鏟淨你的瓦礫，使你成為光禿禿的磐石，在海中做曬網的地方，你必被列國擄掠，因為我已宣告。這是主耶和華說的。
