萬軍之耶和華云、四月五月、七月十月、禁食之期、在猶大家、將為喜樂歡忭之期、欣悅之節、爾宜誠實和平是好、

四五七十月間、猶大家禁食之時、將為欣喜歡忭之節期、惟爾所專務者、真實和平而已、我萬有之主耶和華已言之矣。

萬有之主如是云、四月禁食之日、五月禁食之日、七月禁之日、十月禁食之日、將在猶大族中、變為歡樂欣喜之日、變為佳良之節期、惟爾當好真實與和平、

This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ The fasts of the fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth months will become joyful and glad occasions and happy festivals for Judah. Therefore love truth and peace.”

“ You have established special times to go without eating. They are your fasts in the fourth, fifth, seventh and tenth months. They will become days of joy. They will be happy times for Judah. It will happen if you take delight in telling the truth and bringing about peace.”

“ Thus says the Lord of hosts: The fast of the fourth month and the fast of the fifth and the fast of the seventh and the fast of the tenth shall be to the house of Judah seasons of joy and gladness and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace.

“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: The traditional fasts and times of mourning you have kept in early summer, midsummer, autumn, and winter are now ended. They will become festivals of joy and celebration for the people of Judah. So love truth and peace.

The LORD of Armies says this:“ The fast of the fourth month, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth will become times of joy, gladness, and cheerful festivals for the house of Judah. Therefore, love truth and peace.”

“ The Lord of armies says this:‘ The fast of the fourth, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth months will become joy, jubilation, and cheerful festivals for the house of Judah; so love truth and peace.’

“ Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘ The fast of the fourth month, The fast of the fifth, The fast of the seventh, And the fast of the tenth, Shall be joy and gladness and cheerful feasts For the house of Judah. Therefore love truth and peace.’

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love truth and peace.

“ The Lord of Hosts says this: The fast of the fourth month, the fast of the fifth, the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth will become times of joy, gladness, and cheerful festivals for the house of Judah. Therefore, love truth and peace.”

西底家第十一年四月九日，城被攻破。

但在七月的时候，王裔以利沙玛的孙子、尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，带了十个人和他一起，他们袭击基大利，把他杀死，和他一起在米斯巴的犹大人和迦勒底人，也被杀死。

西底家作王第九年十月十日，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒率领他的全军来攻打耶路撒冷；他们在城外安营，又在四周筑垒攻城。

你已经把我的悲哀变为舞蹈，把我的麻衣脱去，又给我穿上欢乐；

他们询问万军之耶和华殿里的众祭司，以及众先知说：“我们还要在五月哭泣和禁食，像我们这许多年来所行的吗？”

蒙耶和华赎回的人必归回，必欢呼地来到锡安；永远的喜乐必临到他们的头上；他们必得着欢喜和快乐，忧愁和叹息都必逃跑了。

把我们从仇敌手中救拔出来，叫我们可以坦然无惧，用圣洁公义，在他面前一生一世敬拜他。

四月九日，城里饥荒非常严重，甚至那地的人民都断了粮食。城终于被攻破了，所有的战士就在夜间从靠近王的花园的两墙中间的那门，逃跑出城。那时迦勒底人在四围攻城；他们就往亚拉巴的方向逃走。

以这月的两日，为犹大人脱离仇敌，得享安宁的日子，是转忧为喜，转哀为乐的吉日，叫他们在这两日饮宴欢乐，大家互赠礼物，也周济穷人。

到那日，你必说：“耶和华啊！我要称谢你，因为你虽曾向我发怒，你的怒气却已转消，你又安慰了我。

四月九日，城里饥荒非常严重，甚至那地的人民都断了粮食。城终于被攻破了，所有的战士就在夜间从靠近王的花园的两墙中间的那门，逃跑出城。那时迦勒底人在四围攻城；他们就往亚拉巴的方向逃走。

在各省各城中，王的命令和谕旨所到之处，犹大人都欢喜快乐，饮宴放假；那地的人民，有许多因为惧怕犹大人，就都自认是犹大人。

耶和华所赎的人必归回；他们必欢呼着进入锡安；永远的快乐要临到他们的头上。他们必得着欢喜快乐，忧愁叹息都必逃避。

他们必来到锡安的高处欢呼；他们必容光焕发，因为耶和华赐他们各样的美物，就是五谷、新酒和油，还有羊羔和牛犊。他们必像有水灌溉的园子，永不再枯干。那时，童女必欢乐跳舞，年轻的和年老的一起欢乐。我必使他们的悲哀变为喜乐，我必安慰他们，使他们从忧愁中得着欢乐。

神拯救万人的恩典已经显明出来了。这恩典训练我们除去不敬虔的心，和属世的私欲，在今生过着自律、公正、敬虔的生活，

在城外，有那些狗，那些行邪术的、淫乱的、杀人的、拜偶像的，以及所有喜爱说谎的和实行说谎的人。

但在七月的时候，王裔以利沙玛的孙子、尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，也是王的一位大臣，带了十个人和他一起到米斯巴去见亚希甘的儿子基大利；他们在米斯巴一起吃饭的时候，尼探雅的儿子以实玛利和与他一起的那十个人就起来，用刀袭击沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利，就是巴比伦王指派管理那地的，把他杀掉。以实玛利也击杀了所有在米斯巴和基大利一起的犹大人，以及在那里所遇见的迦勒底军兵。

五月十日，就是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒第十九年，侍立在巴比伦王面前的护卫长尼布撒拉旦来到耶路撒冷。他放火焚烧耶和华的殿和王宫，以及耶路撒冷一切房屋，一切高大的房屋，他都放火烧了。跟随护卫长的迦勒底人全军拆毁了耶路撒冷周围所有的城墙。至于人民中最贫穷的、城中剩下的人民，和已经向巴比伦王投降的人，以及剩下的技工，护卫长尼布撒拉旦都掳了去。
