Do not make evil plans against one another. When you promise to tell the truth, do not lie. Many people love to do that. But I hate all these things,” announces the Lord.

Don’t scheme against each other. Stop your love of telling lies that you swear are the truth. I hate all these things, says the Lord.”

Do not plot evil in your hearts against your neighbor, and do not love perjury, for I hate all this”— this is the LORD’s declaration.

Also let none of you devise evil in your heart against another, and do not love perjury; for all these things are what I hate,’ declares the Lord.”

Let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; And do not love a false oath. For all these are things that I hate,’ Says the Lord.”

Do not plan evil in your hearts against one another. Do not favor a false oath– these are all things that I hate,’ says the LORD.”

There are six things the Lord hates. In fact, he hates seven things.The Lord hates proud eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that kill those who aren’t guilty.He also hates hearts that make evil plans and feet that are quick to do evil.He hates any witness who pours out lies and anyone who stirs up conflict in the community.

Don’t plan to harm your neighbor. He lives near you and trusts you.

Do not take advantage of widows. Do not mistreat children whose fathers have died. Do not be mean to outsiders or poor people. Do not make evil plans against one another.”

Evil thoughts come out of a person’s heart. So do murder, adultery, and other sexual sins. And so do stealing, false witness, and telling lies about others.

Your eyes are too pure to look at what is evil. You can’t put up with the wrong things people do. So why do you put up with those who can’t be trusted? The evil Babylonians swallow up those who are more godly than themselves. So why are you silent?

“ So I will come and put you on trial. I will be quick to bring charges against all of you,” says the Lord who rules over all.“ I will bring charges against you sinful people who do not have any respect for me. That includes those who practice evil magic. It includes those who commit adultery and those who tell lies in court. It includes those who cheat workers out of their pay. It includes those who treat widows badly. It also includes those who mistreat children whose fathers have died. And it includes those who take away the rights of outsiders in the courts.

People of Jerusalem, wash your sins from your hearts and be saved. How long will you hold on to your evil thoughts?

Make all your promises in my name. When you promise say,‘ You can be sure that the Lord is alive.’ Be truthful, fair and honest when you make these promises. Then the nations will ask for blessings from me. And they will boast about me.”

Those who are proud can’t stand in front of you. You hate everyone who does what is evil.You destroy those who tell lies. Lord, you hate murderers and those who cheat others.

To have respect for the Lord is to hate evil. I hate pride and bragging. I hate evil ways and twisted words.

He brags about what his heart desires. He speaks well of those who always want more. He attacks the Lord with his words.

How terrible it will be for those who plan to harm others! How terrible for those who make evil plans before they even get out of bed! As soon as daylight comes, they carry out their plans. That’s because they have the power to do it.If they want fields or houses, they take them. They cheat people out of their homes. They rob them of their property.So the Lord says to them,“ I am planning to send trouble on you. You will not be able to save yourselves from it. You will not live so proudly anymore. It will be a time of trouble.

But here is what I tell you. Do not even look at a woman in the wrong way. Anyone who does has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

A good man says good things. These come from the good that is stored up inside him. An evil man says evil things. These come from the evil that is stored up inside him.

He said to me,“ A curse sent by the Lord is written on it. It is going out over the whole land. Every thief will be driven out of the land. That is what it says on one side of the scroll. Everyone who lies when promising to tell the truth will also be driven out. That is what it says on the other side.The Lord who rules over all announces,‘ I will send the curse out. It will enter the house of the thief. It will also enter the house of anyone who lies when making a promise in my name. It will remain in that house and destroy it completely. It will pull down its beams and stones.’ ”

His plans are evil, and he has lies in his heart. He is always stirring up fights.

Again and again I sent my servants the prophets. They said,‘ Don’t worship other gods! The Lord hates it!’
