Then I will bring the remaining third into the fire; I will refine them like silver is refined and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name and I will answer; I will say,‘ These are my people,’ and they will say,‘ The LORD is my God.’”

Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh,“ thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved in various trials,that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

It will be that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver. I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction.

He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.

They will not labor in vain nor give birth for calamity; for they are the offspring of Yahweh’s blessed and their descendants with them.It will happen that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

You have declared today that Yahweh is your God, and that you would walk in his ways, keep his statutes, his commandments, and his ordinances, and listen to his voice.Yahweh has declared today that you are a people for his own possession, as he has promised you, and that you should keep all his commandments.He will make you high above all nations that he has made, in praise, in name, and in honor; and that you may be a holy people to Yahweh your God, as he has spoken.

Beloved, don’t be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you.

“ You shall be my people, and I will be your God.

“ But who can endure the day of his coming? And who will stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like launderers’ soap;and he will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them as gold and silver; and they shall offer to Yahweh offerings in righteousness.

For you, God, have tested us. You have refined us, as silver is refined.You brought us into prison. You laid a burden on our backs.You allowed men to ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water, but you brought us to the place of abundance.

“ I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back; for I have mercy on them; and they will be as though I had not cast them off: for I am Yahweh their God, and I will hear them.

It will happen in that day, I will respond,” says Yahweh,“ I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth;and the earth will respond to the grain, and the new wine, and the oil; and they will respond to Jezreel.I will sow her to me in the earth; and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; and I will tell those who were not my people,‘ You are my people;’ and they will say,‘ My God!’”

“ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says Yahweh:“ I will put my law in their inward parts, and I will write it in their heart. I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

But Jesus answered them,“ You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s angels in heaven.But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,‘ I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry.Yahweh’s face is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth.The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.

He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.

“ For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days,” says the Lord;“ I will put my laws into their mind, I will also write them on their heart. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying,“ Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away.”

I will pour on David’s house, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him.For,“ Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?

The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold, but Yahweh tests the hearts.

Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him.

It will happen that whoever will call on Yahweh’s name shall be saved; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as Yahweh has said, and among the remnant, those whom Yahweh calls.

I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you will be my people.

My tent also will be with them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ.But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or stubble,each man’s work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man’s work is.

and I will bring them, and they will dwell within Jerusalem; and they will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.”

Happy are the people who are in such a situation. Happy are the people whose God is Yahweh.

that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out like gold.

Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly and to break my covenant with them; for I am Yahweh their God.But I will for their sake remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am Yahweh.’”

Yet listen now, Jacob my servant, and Israel, whom I have chosen.This is what Yahweh who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you says:“ Don’t be afraid, Jacob my servant; and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring:and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.One will say,‘ I am Yahweh’s;’ and another will be called by the name of Jacob; and another will write with his hand‘ to Yahweh,’ and honor the name of Israel.”This is what Yahweh, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Yahweh of Armies, says:“ I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.

Then you will call, and Yahweh will answer. You will cry for help, and he will say,‘ Here I am.’“ If you take away from among you the yoke, finger pointing, and speaking wickedly;

Then they will be my people, and I will be their God.

You will dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers. You will be my people, and I will be your God.
