昔我有杖、厥名恩寵、今折斯杖、為毀民約之徵、

我杖稱恩寵者、我遂折之、以示我與列民所立之約將廢、

Then I took my staff called Favor and broke it, revoking the covenant I had made with all the nations.

Then I got my staff called Favor. I broke it. That meant the covenant the Lord had made with all the nations was broken.

And I took my staff Favor, and I broke it, annulling the covenant that I had made with all the peoples.

Then I took my staff called Favor and cut it in two, showing that I had revoked the covenant I had made with all the nations.

Next I took my staff called Favor and cut it in two, annulling the covenant I had made with all the peoples.

And I took my staff Favor and cut it in pieces, to break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples.

And I took my staff Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples.

So I fed the flock for slaughter, in particular the poor of the flock. I took for myself two staffs: the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bonds; and I fed the flock.

You have renounced the covenant of Your servant; You have profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

Do not abhor us, for Your name’s sake; Do not disgrace the throne of Your glory. Remember, do not break Your covenant with us.

“ Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord.

Because finding fault with them, He says:“ Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord.For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying,‘ Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”In that He says,“ A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God will shine forth.

“ And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place.

And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.

For He testifies:“ You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”For on the one hand there is an annulling of the former commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness,for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.And inasmuch as He was not made priest without an oath( for they have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him:“ The Lord has sworn And will not relent,‘ You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek’”),by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant.

Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said,“ These things which you see— the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down.”

For thus says the Lord GOD:“ I will deal with you as you have done, who despised the oath by breaking the covenant.“ Nevertheless I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed, when you receive your older and your younger sisters; for I will give them to you for daughters, but not because of My covenant with you.

‘ speak to the house of Israel,“ Thus says the Lord God:‘ Behold, I will profane My sanctuary, your arrogant boast, the desire of your eyes, the delight of your soul; and your sons and daughters whom you left behind shall fall by the sword.

They also set up false witnesses who said,“ This man does not cease to speak blasphemous words against this holy place and the law;for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs which Moses delivered to us.”

For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh,who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises;of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.

‘ As for the beauty of his ornaments, He set it in majesty; But they made from it The images of their abominations— Their detestable things; Therefore I have made it Like refuse to them.I will give it as plunder Into the hands of strangers, And to the wicked of the earth as spoil; And they shall defile it.I will turn My face from them, And they will defile My secret place; For robbers shall enter it and defile it.

According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days, for each day you shall bear your guilt one year, namely forty years, and you shall know My rejection.

Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say,“ And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one,“ And to your Seed,” who is Christ.And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect.For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

Therefore the Lord God of Israel says:‘ I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the Lord says:‘ Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.

Then God said:“ Call his name Lo-Ammi, For you are not My people, And I will not be your God.
