昔我有杖、厥名恩寵、今折斯杖、為毀民約之徵、

我杖稱恩寵者、我遂折之、以示我與列民所立之約將廢、

Then I took my staff called Favor and broke it, revoking the covenant I had made with all the nations.

Then I got my staff called Favor. I broke it. That meant the covenant the Lord had made with all the nations was broken.

Then I took my staff called Favor and cut it in two, showing that I had revoked the covenant I had made with all the nations.

Next I took my staff called Favor and cut it in two, annulling the covenant I had made with all the peoples.

And I took my staff Favor and cut it in pieces, to break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples.

And I took my staff, Beauty, and cut it in two, that I might break the covenant which I had made with all the peoples.

Next I took my staff called Favor and cut it in two, annulling the covenant I had made with all the peoples.

Then I took my staff“ Pleasantness” and cut it in two to annul my covenant that I had made with all the people.

So I became the shepherd of the flock doomed to be slaughtered by the sheep traders. And I took two staffs, one I named Favor, the other I named Union. And I tended the sheep.

You have renounced the covenant with your servant; you have defiled his crown in the dust.

Do not spurn us, for your name’s sake; do not dishonor your glorious throne; remember and do not break your covenant with us.

“ Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah,not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord.

For he finds fault with them when he says:“ Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.

And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed.

Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place.

Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!

For it is witnessed of him,“ You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.”For on the one hand, a former commandment is set aside because of its weakness and uselessness( for the law made nothing perfect); but on the other hand, a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.And it was not without an oath. For those who formerly became priests were made such without an oath,but this one was made a priest with an oath by the one who said to him:“ The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind,‘ You are a priest forever.’”This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant.

And while some were speaking of the temple, how it was adorned with noble stones and offerings, he said,“ As for these things that you see, the days will come when there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

“ For thus says the Lord God: I will deal with you as you have done, you who have despised the oath in breaking the covenant,yet I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish for you an everlasting covenant.Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed when you take your sisters, both your elder and your younger, and I give them to you as daughters, but not on account of the covenant with you.

‘ Say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the delight of your eyes, and the yearning of your soul, and your sons and your daughters whom you left behind shall fall by the sword.

and they set up false witnesses who said,“ This man never ceases to speak words against this holy place and the law,for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and will change the customs that Moses delivered to us.”

For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen according to the flesh.They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises.To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

His beautiful ornament they used for pride, and they made their abominable images and their detestable things of it. Therefore I make it an unclean thing to them.And I will give it into the hands of foreigners for prey, and to the wicked of the earth for spoil, and they shall profane it.I will turn my face from them, and they shall profane my treasured place. Robbers shall enter and profane it.

According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days, a year for each day, you shall bear your iniquity forty years, and you shall know my displeasure.’

Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say,“ And to offsprings,” referring to many, but referring to one,“ And to your offspring,” who is Christ.This is what I mean: the law, which came 430 years afterward, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to make the promise void.For if the inheritance comes by the law, it no longer comes by promise; but God gave it to Abraham by a promise.

Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares:‘ I promised that your house and the house of your father should go in and out before me forever,’ but now the Lord declares:‘ Far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

And the Lord said,“ Call his name Not My People, for you are not my people, and I am not your God.”
