Remove the chains of slavery from your neck, O captive daughter of Zion.For this is what the Lord says:“ When I sold you into exile, I received no payment. Now I can redeem you without having to pay for you.”

“ Yet the time will come when Israel’s people will be like the sands of the seashore— too many to count! Then, at the place where they were told,‘ You are not my people,’ it will be said,‘ You are children of the living God.’

The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand on the seashore. They were very contented, with plenty to eat and drink.

Yet the time will come when the Lord will gather them together like handpicked grain. One by one he will gather them— from the Euphrates River in the east to the Brook of Egypt in the west.In that day the great trumpet will sound. Many who were dying in exile in Assyria and Egypt will return to Jerusalem to worship the Lord on his holy mountain.

“ Even the most desolate parts of your abandoned land will soon be crowded with your people. Your enemies who enslaved you will be far away.The generations born in exile will return and say,‘ We need more room! It’s crowded here!’Then you will think to yourself,‘ Who has given me all these descendants? For most of my children were killed, and the rest were carried away into exile. I was left here all alone. Where did all these people come from? Who bore these children? Who raised them for me?’”This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ See, I will give a signal to the godless nations. They will carry your little sons back to you in their arms; they will bring your daughters on their shoulders.

“ Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink— even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk— it’s all free!Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food.“ Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.

Then Jesus said,“ Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

But their descendants, the Israelites, had many children and grandchildren. In fact, they multiplied so greatly that they became extremely powerful and filled the land.

I have swept away your sins like a cloud. I have scattered your offenses like the morning mist. Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free.”

The Spirit and the bride say,“ Come.” Let anyone who hears this say,“ Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.

Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness.

who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity— the man Christ Jesus.He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.

There will be joy and songs of thanksgiving, and I will multiply my people, not diminish them; I will honor them, not despise them.Their children will prosper as they did long ago. I will establish them as a nation before me, and I will punish anyone who hurts them.

In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to bring back the remnant of his people— those who remain in Assyria and northern Egypt; in southern Egypt, Ethiopia, and Elam; in Babylonia, Hamath, and all the distant coastlands.He will raise a flag among the nations and assemble the exiles of Israel. He will gather the scattered people of Judah from the ends of the earth.

Because of the covenant I made with you, sealed with blood, I will free your prisoners from death in a waterless dungeon.

“ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am ready to hear Israel’s prayers and to increase their numbers like a flock.They will be as numerous as the sacred flocks that fill Jerusalem’s streets at the time of her festivals. The ruined cities will be crowded with people once more, and everyone will know that I am the Lord.”
