人之望我、若望甘霖、若地甲坼、以待春雨、

爾眷顧斯土、使之豐亨、有大河以資灌溉、五穀繁熟、

當日、爾曹無所問我、我誠告爾、凡托我名求父、父必賜爾、

見王色霽、則知生命之可望、猶春雲油然、時雨將降。

耶和華又曰、秋前三月、我不降雨、惟雨一邑、他邑不雨、惟潤一田、他田不潤、遂致荒蕪、

維彼臨民、如降甘霖、草萊雖刈、仍沾潤澤兮。

我今日所諭之命、爾其聽之、一心一意、愛爾上帝耶和華而奉事之、則秋霖春雨、必降於爾土、使爾獲穀、及酒與油、以果爾腹。
