Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone.

People of Judah, ask the Lord to send rain in the spring. He is the one who sends the thunderstorms. He sends down showers of rain on all people. He gives everyone the plants in the fields.

Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.

Ask the Lord for rain in the spring, for he makes the storm clouds. And he will send showers of rain so every field becomes a lush pasture.

Ask the LORD for rain in the season of spring rain. The LORD makes the rain clouds, and he will give them showers of rain and crops in the field for everyone.

Ask for rain from the Lord at the time of the spring rain— The Lord who makes the storm winds; And He will give them showers of rain, vegetation in the field to each person.

Ask the Lord for rain In the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone.

Ask ye of Jehovah rain in the time of the latter rain, even of Jehovah that maketh lightnings; and he will give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

Ask the LORD for rain in the season of the late spring rains– the LORD who causes thunderstorms– and he will give everyone showers of rain and green growth in the field.

Ask of Yahweh rain in the spring time, Yahweh who makes storm clouds, and he gives rain showers to everyone for the plants in the field.

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.

For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.

I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.

Do any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Do the skies themselves send down showers? No, it is you, Lord our God. Therefore our hope is in you, for you are the one who does all this.

He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows.

“ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

“ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Once again I will yield to Israel’s plea and do this for them: I will make their people as numerous as sheep,

I will make it a wasteland, neither pruned nor cultivated, and briers and thorns will grow there. I will command the clouds not to rain on it.”

“ He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams;the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind.Who can understand how he spreads out the clouds, how he thunders from his pavilion?See how he scatters his lightning about him, bathing the depths of the sea.This is the way he governs the nations and provides food in abundance.

Now Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word.”

He waters the mountains from his upper chambers; the land is satisfied by the fruit of his work.

Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.

And Elijah said to Ahab,“ Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain.”So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees.“ Go and look toward the sea,” he told his servant. And he went up and looked.“ There is nothing there,” he said. Seven times Elijah said,“ Go back.”The seventh time the servant reported,“ A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said,“ Go and tell Ahab,‘ Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’”Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel.

The sky over your head will be bronze, the ground beneath you iron.

When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.

Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains because he is faithful. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.

“ At this my heart pounds and leaps from its place.Listen! Listen to the roar of his voice, to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven and sends it to the ends of the earth.After that comes the sound of his roar; he thunders with his majestic voice. When his voice resounds, he holds nothing back.God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding.He says to the snow,‘ Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower,‘ Be a mighty downpour.’

The remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples like dew from the Lord, like showers on the grass, which do not wait for anyone or depend on man.

They waited for me as for showers and drank in my words as the spring rain.

You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.

In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

When a king’s face brightens, it means life; his favor is like a rain cloud in spring.

“ I also withheld rain from you when the harvest was still three months away. I sent rain on one town, but withheld it from another. One field had rain; another had none and dried up.

May he be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth.

So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today— to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul—then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil.

Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”

I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.
