How is your beloved better than others, most beautiful of women? How is your beloved better than others, that you so charge us?

“ You are the most beautiful woman of all. How is the one you love better than others? How is he better than anyone else? Why do you ask us to make you this promise?”

What is your beloved more than another beloved, O most beautiful among women? What is your beloved more than another beloved, that you thus adjure us?

Why is your lover better than all others, O woman of rare beauty? What makes your lover so special that we must promise this?

What makes the one you love better than another, most beautiful of women? What makes him better than another, that you would give us this charge?

“ What kind of beloved is your beloved, O most beautiful among women? What kind of beloved is your beloved, That you make us swear in this way?”

What is thy beloved more than another beloved, O thou fairest among women? What is thy beloved more than another beloved, That thou dost so adjure us?

What makes the one you love better than another, most beautiful of women? What makes him better than another, that you would give us this charge?

THE DAUGHTERS OF JERUSALEM: Where has your beloved gone, O fairest among women? Where has your beloved turned aside, That we may seek him with you?

My dove, my perfect one, Is the only one, The only one of her mother, The favorite of the one who bore her. The daughters saw her And called her blessed, The queens and the concubines, And they praised her.Who is she who looks forth as the morning, Fair as the moon, Clear as the sun, Awesome as an army with banners?

The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace; Her clothing is woven with gold.

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying,“ Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”So they said,“ Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”He said to them,“ But who do you say that I am?”Simon Peter answered and said,“ You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”Jesus answered and said to him,“ Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him.

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying,“ Who is this?”

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
