那青年聽後，便憂傷地走了，因為他有許多產業。

朋友時時彼此關愛，手足生來患難與共。

耶穌望著他，心中愛他，便說：「你還有一件事沒有做，就是變賣你所有的產業，送給窮人，你必有財寶存在天上，然後你還要來跟從我。」那人聽了，臉色驟變，便沮喪地走了，因為他有許多產業。

你甚至不讓我親吻外孫和女兒，與他們道別，你這樣做真愚蠢。
