Not even the highest places or the lowest, or anything else in all creation can separate us. Nothing at all can ever separate us from God’s love. That’s because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done.

Who can separate us from the love of Christ? Can affliction or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love,and to know Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us,made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!He also raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus,so that in the coming ages he might display the immeasurable riches of his grace through his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

For he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in love before him.

I made your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love you have loved me with may be in them and I may be in them.”

But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love for mankind appeared,he saved us— not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy— through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.He poured out his Spirit on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviorso that, having been justified by his grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

The vessels from his house were brought to you, and as you and your nobles, wives, and concubines drank wine from them, you praised the gods made of silver and gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or understand. But you have not glorified the God who holds your life-breath in his hand and who controls the whole course of your life.

The tree grew large and strong; its top reached to the sky, and it was visible to the ends of the earth.

so that we may not be taken advantage of by Satan. For we are not ignorant of his schemes.

But the beast was taken prisoner, and along with it the false prophet, who had performed the signs in its presence. He deceived those who accepted the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image with these signs. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

It deceives those who live on the earth because of the signs that it is permitted to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who live on the earth to make an image of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.

I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who haven’t known“ the so-called secrets of Satan”— as they say— I am not putting any other burden on you.

When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison

And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads. On its horns were ten crowns, and on its heads were blasphemous names.The beast I saw was like a leopard, its feet were like a bear’s, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority.One of its heads appeared to be fatally wounded, but its fatal wound was healed. The whole earth was amazed and followed the beast.They worshiped the dragon because he gave authority to the beast. And they worshiped the beast, saying,“ Who is like the beast? Who is able to wage war against it?”The beast was given a mouth to utter boasts and blasphemies. It was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months.It began to speak blasphemies against God: to blaspheme his name and his dwelling— those who dwell in heaven.And it was permitted to wage war against the saints and to conquer them. It was also given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation.All those who live on the earth will worship it, everyone whose name was not written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slaughtered.

But I fear that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may be seduced from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits in God’s temple, proclaiming that he himself is God.

So the great dragon was thrown out— the ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the one who deceives the whole world. He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him.

The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with every kind of miracle, both signs and wonders serving the lie,and with every wicked deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth and so be saved.For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe the lie,so that all will be condemned— those who did not believe the truth but delighted in unrighteousness.
