天主以其聖子為我眾捨生、猶且不惜、尚何吝以一切萬有并賜於我耶？

神既不爱惜自己的儿子，为我们众人舍了，岂不也把万物和他一同白白地赐给我们吗？

上帝既不顾惜自己的儿子，为我们众人舍了他，岂不也把万物和他一同白白地赐给我们吗？

彼不惜己子、為我眾舍之、豈不並以萬物賜我歟、

不惜己子、為我眾捨之、豈不以萬物並賜我歟、

天主不惜己子、為我眾舍之、豈不以萬物偕其子並賜我乎、

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all— how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

God did not spare his own Son. He gave him up for us all. Then won’t he also freely give us everything else?

He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

夫天主不惜以其惟一聖子賜之於世、俾凡信之者、得免淪亡、而獲永生、是其愛世之篤、為何如乎？

不寧惟是、吾人亦知人苟能真心愛天主、則天主必使天地萬物同力相助、而亨通之。

在斯一日。勝似千春。寧在主宅。充一閽人。莫為惡逆。入幕之賓。

昔者天神之干罪也、天主且毅然投之地獄、囚之冥府、以待審判。古時人欲橫流、天主亦不惜使洪水氾濫、僅有宣揚道義之諾厄及同伴七人得濟。

夫嚮日吾人尚不堪荏弱、而基督竟按其定時、毅然為罪人捨生。世之願為義人代死者鮮矣；雖然、敢為善人死者、容或有之；而基督獨為吾罪人捨生、足徵天主愛我之篤、寧有既極。且吾人賴基督之聖血、既得赦罪而成義、不更能賴之以望免刑乎？當時吾人尚為天主之悖逆、且得緣其聖子之死、而與天主重相契合、今既重相契合、不更能緣其永生、而承無疆之休乎？

吾人所受者非世俗之精神、乃天主之聖神；故能領會天主所賜於吾人之一切也。

夫以毫無罪孽之基督、天主竟使其為吾人之故、成為罪孽、亦欲令吾人因基督之功、而成天主之正義云耳。

其被置於死、為贖吾人之罪也；其復活、則為復吾人於義也。

蓋罪孽之果報為死、而天主之恩賜、則因耶穌基督而獲永生是已。

是故切勿因人而誇也；應知萬物皆備於爾矣。葆樂也、亞波羅也、基法也、宇宙也、生也、死也、現在也、將來也、一切之一切也、皆屬於爾矣、爾則屬於基督、而基督屬於天主。

蓋萬事莫非為爾等之故、亦欲使聖寵廣被元元、俾萬眾一心、稱謝天主之光榮云耳。

且有音發自天上曰：『是吾愛子、慰悅我心。』

凡堅忍到底者、必得承此洪基。我願為其主、彼當為我子。

蓋天主且不恤其原有之枝、更將何恤於爾？
