其所知者、則預定效其子、使彼為眾子中冢子、

天主所預知者、則預定肖其子之狀、使彼為眾子中之長子、

如此之人、亦即天主依其聖意而見召者也。蓋天主所預寵者、乃預簡之、俾克肖其聖子、欲使其聖子成為眾子中之冢息耳。

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

God planned that those he had chosen would become like his Son. In that way, Christ will be the first and most honored among many brothers and sisters.

We have also received an inheritance in Him, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will,

He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

He was chosen before the foundation of the world but was revealed at the end of the times for you

All those who live on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name was not written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slaughtered.

Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, having this inscription: The Lord knows those who are His, and Everyone who names the name of the Lord must turn away from unrighteousness.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father and set apart by the Spirit for obedience and for sprinkling with the blood of Jesus Christ. May grace and peace be multiplied to you.

On the contrary, we speak God’s hidden wisdom in a mystery, a wisdom God predestined before the ages for our glory.

And just as we have borne the image of the man made of dust, we will also bear the image of the heavenly man.

And what if He did this to make known the riches of His glory on objects of mercy that He prepared beforehand for glory—

Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him because we will see Him as He is.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.For everything was created by Him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities— all things have been created through Him and for Him.He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together.He is also the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He might come to have first place in everything.

God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or don’t you know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah— how he pleads with God against Israel?

We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.

I have given them the glory You have given Me. May they be one as We are one.I am in them and You are in Me. May they be made completely one, so the world may know You have sent Me and have loved them as You have loved Me.

He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of His glorious body, by the power that enables Him to subject everything to Himself.

They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

you put on the new self, the one created according to God’s likeness in righteousness and purity of the truth.

The Lord answered Moses,“ I will do this very thing you have asked, for you have found favor in My sight, and I know you by name.”

Moses said to the Lord,“ Look, You have told me,‘ Lead this people up,’ but You have not let me know whom You will send with me. You said,‘ I know you by name, and you have also found favor in My sight.’

For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven, that person is My brother and sister and mother.”

For to which of the angels did He ever say, You are My Son; today I have become Your Father, or again, I will be His Father, and He will be My Son?When He again brings His firstborn into the world, He says, And all God’s angels must worship Him.

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has set us free from our sins by His blood,and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father— the glory and dominion are His forever and ever. Amen.

For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to ruin.

I made Your name known to them and will make it known, so the love You have loved Me with may be in them and I may be in them.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no plans to satisfy the fleshly desires.

“ Don’t cling to Me,” Jesus told her,“ for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to My brothers and tell them that I am ascending to My Father and your Father— to My God and your God.”

I sanctify Myself for them, so they also may be sanctified by the truth.

For the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers,saying: I will proclaim Your name to My brothers; I will sing hymns to You in the congregation.Again, I will trust in Him. And again, Here I am with the children God gave Me.Now since the children have flesh and blood in common, Jesus also shared in these, so that through His death He might destroy the one holding the power of death— that is, the Devil—and free those who were held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death.

Then I will announce to them,‘ I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!’

I will also make him My firstborn, greatest of the kings of the earth.

“ And the King will answer them,‘ I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’
