蓋聖神惟生之法、已因基督而脫吾人於罪與死之法矣。

且罪亦不能為爾之主矣。無他、爾不隸於法而隸於恩故耳。

主即聖神、主之聖神之所在、亦自由之所在也。

既脫於罪、則為正義之僕矣。

不寧惟是、使吾儕足以任新約之役者、亦惟天主而已。此約也、非本乎文字、乃本乎聖神。蓋文字乃肅殺之具、而聖神則生命之源也。

按經所載、始祖亞當賦有血氣之生命；而後來之亞當、則為賦予生命之神靈也。

倘為子者肯賜爾自由、爾則真獲自由矣。

且必能了悟真理、而真理必使爾為自由之人矣。』

誠能得基督寓爾心中、則肉體雖因罪而死、而神魂乃因義而生。苟得復活耶穌者之神寓於爾心、則彼既能起耶穌於死亦必憑其寓爾心中之神、復活爾有死之肉身矣。

今既從罪中解放、而獲自由、且為天主之僕矣、則應勉結聖德之果、而止於永生。

今我兄弟既仰賴基督之身、而死於律法、則從良改嫁、其誰曰不宜？良人者何、即自死中復活之彼人是已！亦在吾人勉結良果、以報答天主云耳。

有能置信於予者、必有「活水之泉、湧自其懷、沛若江河、」正如經之所言也。』此言乃指信奉之者、將領受聖神；時聖神尚未降臨、以耶穌猶未榮昇故。

於是吾於自身之內、另見一法。吾欲為善、而有惡潛伏其中、為之牽引。

婦曰：『先生盍以此水見賜、令我不復渴、亦無庸頻來汲水。』

夫吾既因法而脫於法、則宜專為天主而生矣。

若見人子昇歸本宅、又將如何？

然則吾人復何所誇？實無所誇也。尚憑何法？其憑事功之法乎？非也！乃憑立信之法耳。

嗚呼、我誠可哀之人也！孰能脫我於此致死之肉身乎？惟謝天主、已予我以生路矣、生路伊何、即耶穌基督吾人之主是已！若夫憑吾自身、則心中雖服膺天主之法、而肉身則猶為罪孽之奴耳。

夫基督之予吾人以解放也、其非欲吾人享受自由乎？故吾儕當確立不移、不宜妄自菲薄、復入奴隸之軛也。

天神復示我以活水之川、澄澈如水晶、自天主及羔羊寶座源源而來。

罪之彰在死亡之界而恩之盛則在永生之域。其所以然者、惟恃吾主耶穌而成義耳。

為我再造。純白之心。正氣內蘊。煥然一新。

越三日有半、天主之生氣入其屍身、二證復起、見者莫不駭愕。

婦曰：『先生既無汲水之具、而井又深、將何從而得活水乎？
