萬物甚慕且望天主眾子之顯現、

即天地萬物、亦莫不如飢若渴、引領而望天主眾子之揭曉焉。

For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

Everything God created looks forward to the future. That will be the time when his children appear in their full and final glory.

For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.

For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.

For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation for God’s sons to be revealed.

For the eagerly awaiting creation waits for the revealing of the sons and daughters of God.

For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

For the earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the revealing of the sons of God.

“ They will belong to me,” says the LORD who rules over all,“ in the day when I prepare my own special property. I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.Then once more you will see that I make a distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not.

Since all these things are to melt away in this manner, what sort of people must we be, conducting our lives in holiness and godliness,while waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God? Because of this day, the heavens will be burned up and dissolve, and the celestial bodies will melt away in a blaze!But, according to his promise, we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness truly resides.

Not only this, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we eagerly await our adoption, the redemption of our bodies.

My confident hope is that I will in no way be ashamed but that with complete boldness, even now as always, Christ will be exalted in my body, whether I live or die.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had ceased to exist, and the sea existed no more.And I saw the holy city– the new Jerusalem– descending out of heaven from God, made ready like a bride adorned for her husband.And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying:“ Look! The residence of God is among human beings. He will live among them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them.He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will not exist any more– or mourning, or crying, or pain, for the former things have ceased to exist.”And the one seated on the throne said:“ Look! I am making all things new!” Then he said to me,“ Write it down, because these words are reliable and true.”

For look, I am ready to create new heavens and a new earth! The former ones will not be remembered; no one will think about them anymore.

This one heaven must receive until the time all things are restored, which God declared from times long ago through his holy prophets.

“ When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.All the nations will be assembled before him, and he will separate people one from another like a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.Then the king will say to those on his right,‘ Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’Then the righteous will answer him,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or naked and clothe you?When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’And the king will answer them,‘ I tell you the truth, just as you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did it for me.’“ Then he will say to those on his left,‘ Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels!For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink.I was a stranger and you did not receive me as a guest, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’Then they too will answer,‘ Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not give you whatever you needed?’Then he will answer them,‘ I tell you the truth, just as you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for me.’And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
