The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children,

The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;

He has also sealed us and given us the Spirit as a down payment in our hearts.

And the One who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment.

This is how we will know we belong to the truth and will convince our conscience in His presence,even if our conscience condemns us, that God is greater than our conscience, and He knows all things.Dear friends, if our conscience doesn’t condemn us, we have confidence before Godand can receive whatever we ask from Him because we keep His commands and do what is pleasing in His sight.

When you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed in Him, you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.

For this is our confidence: The testimony of our conscience is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you, with God-given sincerity and purity, not by fleshly wisdom but by God’s grace.

And not only that, but we ourselves who have the Spirit as the firstfruits— we also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.

( The one who believes in the Son of God has this testimony within him. The one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony God has given about His Son.)

In the same way the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings.

And don’t grieve God’s Holy Spirit. You were sealed by Him for the day of redemption.
