for if you are living in accord with the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

爾如從欲、取死之道也。存神去欲、得生之道也。

For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

If you live under the power of sin, you will die. But by the Spirit’s power you can put to death the sins you commit. Then you will live.

For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.

Therefore, treat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.For it is because of these things that the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience,and in them you also once walked, when you were living in them.But now you also, rid yourselves of all of them: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene speech from your mouth.

but I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Since you have purified your souls in obedience to the truth for a sincere love of the brothers and sisters, fervently love one another from the heart,

instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age,

so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,

that, in reference to your former way of life, you are to rid yourselves of the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit,

For while we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were brought to light by the Law, were at work in the parts of our body to bear fruit for death.

But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it has run its course, brings forth death.

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior,idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions,envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus.For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And do not get drunk with wine, in which there is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,

Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death.

But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints;and there must be no filthiness or foolish talk, or vulgar joking, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.For this you know with certainty, that no sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, which amounts to an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
