爾若依形軀而生、則必死、惟以神而泯身之所行者、則必生、

你们若顺从肉体活着，必要死；若靠着圣灵治死身体的恶行，必要活着。

For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.

If you live under the power of sin, you will die. But by the Spirit’s power you can put to death the sins you commit. Then you will live.

播於形軀者、將由形軀而穫敗壞、播於聖神者、將由聖神而穫永生、

愛友乎、爾若客旅、若寄居、我勸爾戒形軀之慾、即攻爾心者也、

故當滅爾在地之肢體、即淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾、及貪婪、貪婪與拜像一也、是以上帝之怒、臨諸悖逆之人、爾昔生於斯、亦嘗出入其間也、今則宜去一切忿怒、暴戾、狠毒、謗讟、穢言、

乃攻克己身使之服從、恐我宣諸人而自見棄焉、

且屬基督耶穌者、已以形軀及其情慾、釘於十架矣、○

爾既循真理以潔乃心、致愛兄弟無偽、則宜切心相愛、

教我儕棄絕不虔、與世俗之慾、而以貞正、公義、敬虔、度生於今世、

使律之義成於我儕、即不依形軀而行、依神而行者也、蓋依形軀者、志乎形軀之事、依神者、志乎神之事、夫形軀之志乃死、神之志生且安也、

爾於夙習之行、宜脫舊人、即以欺罔之慾、而自敗者、

蓋我儕徇形軀時、其由律之惡慾動於肢體、厥果維死、

凡為己慾所誘惑者、乃見試也、慾既孕則生罪、罪既成則產死、

夫形軀之行顯著、即淫亂、污穢、邪侈、拜像、巫術、結仇、爭鬥、忌恨、忿怒、釁隙、朋黨、異端、媢嫉、沉湎、荒宴等類、今我告爾、如昔所言、凡行此者、必不承上帝國、

是以凡在基督耶穌中者、無所定罪、因致生聖神之律、由基督耶穌、釋我於罪及死之律、

蓋罪之值乃死、上帝之恩賜乃永生、在我主基督耶穌中焉、

勿酗酒而蕩檢、惟充以聖神、

勿貽上帝之聖神憂、乃爾由之受印、以至贖日者、

昔之所行、今日恥之、其效維何、終則死亡、

惟淫亂及污穢貪婪、爾中言之亦不可、乃聖徒所宜也、淫詞、浮言、戲謔、皆非所宜、寧祝謝耳、蓋爾誠知淫者、污者、及貪婪即拜像者、皆不得嗣業於基督與上帝之國、
