So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

弟兄姊妹，這樣看來，我們不必隨從罪惡本性活著。

弟兄們，可見我們並不是欠肉體的債，隨著肉體而活。

弟兄們，那麼我們便是欠債的了，卻不是欠肉體的債、去順着肉體活的。

弟兄們，由此可見，我們都是有責任的，但不是對肉體有責任去順著肉體而活；

兄弟乎、我儕非負債於形軀、致依形軀而生、

兄弟乎、我儕非為欲所役者、豈甘從欲、

如是、兄弟乎、我儕非負肉體之債、致我從肉體而行、

故兄弟應知吾人既不為肉身之役、自無順從情慾之責。

Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation— but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.

Brothers and sisters, we have a duty. Our duty is not to live under the power of sin.

So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.

Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.

So then, brothers and sisters, we are not obligated to the flesh to live according to the flesh,

So then, brothers and sisters, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors— not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.

May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?Or don’t you know that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection;knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.For he who has died has been freed from sin.But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him;knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over him!For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.Therefore don’t let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.Also, do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? May it never be!

that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.

Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Yahweh, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your servant girl. You have freed me from my chains.
