So then if, while[ her] husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

由此可见，丈夫还活着的时候，她如果归向别的男人，就被称为淫妇；但如果丈夫死了，她就脱离那律法得了自由，即使归向别的男人，也不是淫妇。

所以丈夫活着，她若歸於別人，便叫淫婦；丈夫若死了，她就脫離了丈夫的律法，雖然歸於別人，也不是淫婦。

是以夫在而他適者、謂之淫婦、夫死則見釋於律、雖他適不為淫、

夫在而他從、是謂淫婦、夫死則脫夫法、雖他從、不為淫、

夫在而從他人、是謂淫婦、夫死則釋於此法、雖從他人、不為淫婦、

其夫存而改適者、是謂不貞。若夫既死、則無復法律之拘束、雖再嫁亦不為失貞。

So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man.

But suppose that married woman sleeps with another man while her husband is still alive. Then she is called a woman who commits adultery. But suppose her husband dies. Then she is free from that law. She is not guilty of adultery if she marries another man.

Accordingly, she will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress.

So while her husband is alive, she would be committing adultery if she married another man. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law and does not commit adultery when she remarries.

So then, if she is married to another man while her husband is living, she will be called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law. Then, if she is married to another man, she is not an adulteress.

So then, if while her husband is alive she gives herself to another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress if she gives herself to another man.

So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man.

So then if, while the husband liveth, she be joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if the husband die, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she be joined to another man.

So then, if she gives herself to another man while her husband is living, she will be called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law. Then, if she gives herself to another man, she is not an adulteress.

So then, if she is joined to another man while her husband is alive, she will be called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she is joined to another man, she is not an adulteress.

So then if, while the husband lives, she is joined to another man, she would be called an adulteress. But if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she is joined to another man.

Thou shalt not commit adultery.

But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same[ matter].And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die,[ both] the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.If a damsel[ that is] a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not,[ being] in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and[ there be] no witness against her, neither she be taken[ with the manner];And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth[ part] of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it[ is] an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD:And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put[ it] into the water:And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which[ is] the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness[ with another] instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:But if thou hast gone aside[ to another] instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband:Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make[ thy] belly to swell, and[ thy] thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot[ them] out with the bitter water:And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her,[ and become] bitter.Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:And the priest shall take an handful of the offering,[ even] the memorial thereof, and burn[ it] upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass,[ that], if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her,[ and become] bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.This[ is] the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth aside[ to another] instead of her husband, and is defiled;Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.

But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.And withal they learn[ to be] idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

And the man that committeth adultery with[ another] man’s wife,[ even he] that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
