We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.

So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin.

But forasmuch as he had not wherewith to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.Wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me out of the body of this death?

For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two- edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.
