Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death.

What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

What fruit then had ye at that time in the things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

So what fruit was produced then from the things you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death.

Although they fully know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but also approve of those who practice them.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful desires, aroused by the law, were active in the members of our body to bear fruit for death.

There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way that leads to death.

For the payoff of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is useless and about to be cursed; its fate is to be burned.

How much greater punishment do you think that person deserves who has contempt for the Son of God, and profanes the blood of the covenant that made him holy, and insults the Spirit of grace?

Then Jeremiah replied to all the people, both men and women, who responded to him in this way.“ The LORD did indeed remember and call to mind what you did! He remembered the sacrifices you and your ancestors, your kings, your leaders, and all the rest of the people of the land offered to other gods in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem.Finally the LORD could no longer endure your wicked deeds and the disgusting things you did. Are they ashamed because they have done such disgusting things? No, they are not at all ashamed! They do not even know how to blush! So they will die just like others have died. They will be brought to ruin when I punish them, says the LORD.

I, the LORD, probe into people’s minds. I examine people’s hearts. I deal with each person according to how he has behaved. I give them what they deserve based on what they have done.

( for if you live according to the flesh, you will die), but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live.

For after we turned away from you we repented. After we came to our senses we beat our breasts in sorrow. We are ashamed and humiliated because of the disgraceful things we did previously.’

Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death– the lake of fire.

Their end is destruction, their god is the belly, they exult in their shame, and they think about earthly things.

For the outlook of the flesh is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace,
