信之即篤、雖近百齡、血氣衰、弗顧也、雖撒拉絕孕、亦弗顧也、

其信甚篤、年近百歲、不顧己身已衰、亦不顧撒拉之胎已絕孕、

故雖明知己之將近百歲、精力枯竭、且明知灑蕾之久已絕孕；然信心未因此而稍衰、

Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead— since he was about a hundred years old— and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.

Abraham did not become weak in his faith. He accepted the fact that he was past the time when he could have children. At that time Abraham was about 100 years old. He also realized that Sarah was too old to have children.

He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead( since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah’s womb.

And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead— and so was Sarah’s womb.

He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body to be already dead( since he was about a hundred years old) and also the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

Without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb;

And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead( since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

And without being weakened in faith he considered his own body now as good as dead( he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb;

He considered his own body to be already dead( since he was about 100 years old) and also considered the deadness of Sarah’s womb, without weakening in the faith.

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:

Without being weak in faith, he considered his own body as dead( because he was about one hundred years old) and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

Without being weakened in faith, he didn’t consider his own body, already having been worn out,( he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

亞伯拉罕就臉伏於地笑了，心裡說：「難道一百歲的人還能生孩子嗎？就是撒拉也已經九十歲了，還能生育嗎？」

同樣因著信，不能生育的撒拉，自己雖然過了年齡，還是領受了懷孕生子的能力，原來她認為向她應許的那一位是信實的。所以從一個如同已經死了的人，就生出了許多人，像天空的星那樣眾多，像海邊的沙那樣無法數算。這些人都懷著信仰死去，沒有得到那些所應許的，卻遠遠地看見並且歡迎它們，又承認自己在地上是異鄉人，是寄居的。實際上，說這樣話的人，是表明他們在尋求一個家鄉。如果他們真是想念自己所離開的地方，他們還有機會回去；但如今，他們所嚮往的是一個更美好的，就是在天上的家鄉。因此，神被稱為「他們的神」並不以為恥；原來他已經為他們預備了一座城。因著信，亞伯拉罕在受考驗的時候，獻上了以撒；這位領受了各樣應許的人，獻上了自己的獨生兒子——關於這兒子，神曾經說過：「從以撒生的，將被稱為你的後裔。」亞伯拉罕認為，神真的能使人從死人中復活。故此，用比喻來說，他真的從死人中得回了以撒。

耶穌對他說：「『如果你能』？——對信的人，一切都能。」那孩子的父親立刻喊著說：「我信！但我的不信之處，求你幫助！」

你們這些小信的人哪！野地裡的草今天還在，明天就被丟進火爐裡，神尚且這樣裝扮它，更何況你們呢！

耶穌對他們說：「為什麼膽怯呢？你們這些小信的人哪！」耶穌就起來，斥責風和浪，湖面就變得一片平靜。

耶穌立刻伸手拉住他，說：「小信的人哪，你為什麼疑惑呢？」

不在吃肉、喝酒、或其他事上使你的弟兄絆倒，這才是好的。

他也沒有因著不信去懷疑神的應許，反而因著信得以剛強，把榮耀歸給神，並且確信不疑：神所應許的，神也能成就。

亞伯拉罕和撒拉都已經老了，上了年紀，撒拉的月事也停止了。撒拉暗笑，心裡說：「我已經衰老，我的丈夫也老了，我還能有這等快樂嗎？」耶和華對亞伯拉罕說：「撒拉為什麼暗笑，說：『我已經老了，真的還能生育嗎？』在耶和華還有難成的事嗎？到了所定的時期，明年這時候，我必回到你這裡；那時撒拉就會有一個兒子。」

然後他對多馬說：「把你的指頭伸到這裡來，看看我的手吧。伸出你的手來，放進我的肋旁吧。不要不信，而要信！」多馬回答耶穌，說：「我的主，我的神！」
