If those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made empty and the promise nullified,

若是属乎律法的人才得为后嗣，信就归于虚空，应许也就废弃了。

若是属于律法的人才是后嗣，信就落空了，应许也就失效了。

若是属于律法的人才是后嗣，信就落空了，应许也就失效了。

如果只有遵行律法的人才可以承受应许，信心就没有价值，上帝的应许也就落了空。

如果属于律法的人才能成为后嗣，信就没有作用，应许也就落空了。

这是因为，如果本于律法的才是继承人，信就落了空，应许也就无效了。

若是屬乎律法的人才得為後嗣，信就歸於虛空，應許也就廢棄了。

若是屬於律法的人才是後嗣，信就落空了，應許也就失效了。

若是屬於律法的人才是後嗣，信就落空了，應許也就失效了。

假使本着律法的人才是承受產業的，那麼信就落了空，應許也就失效了。

若由律者為嗣、信則虛、許亦廢矣、

若恃法為嗣子、則信歸烏有、許亦無益、

若屬律法者為嗣子、則信歸於虛、所許亦廢矣、

若惟屬於律法者得為嗣子、是不啻廢棄信德、而致恩諾於無效也。

For if those who depend on the law are heirs, faith means nothing and the promise is worthless,

Do those who depend on the law receive the promise? If they do, faith would mean nothing. God’s promise would be worthless.

For if it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void.

If God’s promise is only for those who obey the law, then faith is not necessary and the promise is pointless.

For if those who are of the Law are heirs, then faith is made void and the promise is nullified;

For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect,

For if they that are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of none effect:

If those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made empty and the promise is canceled.

For if they which are of the law[ be] heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

For if they become heirs by the law, faith is empty and the promise is nullified.

For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of no effect.

For if the inheritance is based on the law, it is no longer based on the promise; but God has graciously given it to Abraham through the promise.Why, then, was the law given? It was added for the sake of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise was made would come. The law was put into effect through angels by means of a mediator.Now a mediator is not just for one person alone, but God is one.Is the law therefore contrary to God’s promises? Absolutely not! For if the law had been granted with the ability to give life, then righteousness would certainly be on the basis of the law.But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin’s power, so that the promise might be given on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ to those who believe.Before this faith came, we were confined under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith was revealed.The law, then, was our guardian until Christ, so that we could be justified by faith.

But if her husband cancels them on the day he hears about it, nothing that came from her lips, whether her vows or her obligation, is binding. Her husband has canceled them, and the LORD will release her.

It is time for the LORD to act, for they have violated your instruction.

I will spoil the plans of Judah and Jerusalem in this place. I will make them fall by the sword before their enemies, by the hand of those who intend to take their life. I will provide their corpses as food for the birds of the sky and for the wild animals of the land.

Do we then nullify the law through faith? Absolutely not! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.

You who are trying to be justified by the law are alienated from Christ; you have fallen from grace.

This is why the promise is by faith, so that it may be according to grace, to guarantee it to all the descendants— not only to the one who is of the law but also to the one who is of Abraham’s faith. He is the father of us all.

For the law appoints as high priests men who are weak, but the promise of the oath, which came after the law, appoints a Son, who has been perfected forever.

and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ— the righteousness from God based on faith.

( for the law perfected nothing), but a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God.

so my word that comes from my mouth will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do.”

But if he cancels them after he hears about them, he will be responsible for her commitment.”
