曰、其中若有不信、得毋以不信廢上帝信乎、

其中有不信者則何歟、彼之不信、能廢天主之信乎、

其中縱有負此託付者、亦無礙宏旨。人之不誠、豈能廢天主之至誠乎？

What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness?

What if some Jews were not faithful? Will the fact that they weren’t faithful keep God from being faithful?

What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God?

True, some of them were unfaithful; but just because they were unfaithful, does that mean God will be unfaithful?

What then? If some were unfaithful, will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness?

What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it?

For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?

For what if some were without faith? shall their want of faith make of none effect the faithfulness of God?

What then? If some did not believe, will their unbelief cancel God’s faithfulness?

For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

What then? If some did not believe, does their unbelief nullify the faithfulness of God?

For what if some were without faith? Will their lack of faith nullify the faithfulness of God?

When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself,saying,“ I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.”And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.People swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument.Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath.God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. “ Have you not noticed that these people are saying,‘ The Lord has rejected the two kingdoms he chose’?
