於是天主之正義、昌明於斯世。是天主使吾人信耶穌而成義、亦所以自彰其義也。

God did all this to prove in our own time that he does what is right. He also makes right with himself those who believe in Jesus.

但是，一個人雖沒有做工，卻信靠那稱不敬虔之人為義的神，這人的信就被算為義。

所以各位兄弟，你們應當知道：罪得赦免，是因著這一位傳給你們的。在你們藉著摩西的律法，不能被稱為義的一切事上，藉著這一位，所有相信的人都被稱為義了。

到底誰能控告那些蒙神揀選的人呢？神是稱人為義的那一位！

既然經文預先看見神要使外邦人因信稱義，就預先把福音傳給了亞伯拉罕，說：「萬國都要藉著你蒙祝福。」這樣，那些有信仰的人，與有信仰的亞伯拉罕一同蒙祝福。凡是本於律法上行為的人，都在詛咒之下，因為經上記著：「任何人不持守、不遵行律法書上所記載的一切，都是被詛咒的。」所以，明顯地沒有人能藉著律法在神面前被稱為義，因為經上說：「義人將因信而活。」律法不是本於信，但是「遵行這些事的人，將因此而活。」基督替我們成了詛咒，從律法的詛咒中救贖了我們，因為經上記著：「凡是被掛在木頭上的，都是被詛咒的。」這是為了讓亞伯拉罕所蒙的祝福，能在基督耶穌裡臨到外邦人，好使我們能藉著信領受所應許的聖靈。

——近前宣告，一同商議吧！是誰從古時就告知了這事呢？是誰從前就宣告了這事呢？難道不是我耶和華嗎？除我以外，沒有別的神；我是公義的神和拯救者；除我以外，一個也沒有。

錫安女子啊，當大大快樂！耶路撒冷女子啊，當歡呼！看哪，你的王來到你這裡！他是公義的，得勝的，是謙和的，騎著驢——一頭小驢，就是驢的駒子。
