耶和華為自己公義的緣故，喜歡使律法為大為尊。

他們唱著神僕人摩西的歌和羊羔的歌，說：“主啊！全能的神，你的作為又偉大又奇妙！萬國的王啊，你的道路又公義又真實！

所以弟兄們，你們當知道，赦罪之道是由這位耶穌傳給你們的。在你們靠摩西律法不能稱義的一切事上，信靠他的人就得稱義了。

誰能控告神揀選的人呢？有神稱我們為義了。

聖經既然預先看見神要使外族人因信稱義，就預先把好信息傳給亞伯拉罕：“萬國都必因你得福。”這樣看來，有信心的人，必定和有信心的亞伯拉罕一同得福。凡是靠行律法稱義的，都在咒詛之下，因為經上記著：“凡不常常照著律法書上所寫的一切去行的，都被咒詛。”很明顯，在神面前，沒有一個人可以靠著律法稱義，因為“義人必因信得生”（“義人必因信得生”或譯：“因信稱義的人，必定得生”）。律法本來不是出於信，而是說：“遵行這些事的人，就必因這些事而活。”基督替我們受了咒詛，就救贖我們脫離了律法的咒詛，因為經上記著：“凡掛在木頭上的，都是受咒詛的。”這樣，亞伯拉罕所蒙的福，就在耶穌基督裡臨到外族人，使我們因著信，可以領受所應許的聖靈。

你們述說吧！提出理由吧！讓他們彼此商議吧！誰從古時使人聽見這事呢？誰從上古把這事述說出來呢？不是我耶和華嗎？除了我以外，再沒有神，我是公義的神，又是拯救者；除了我以外，並沒有別的神。

錫安的居民哪！要大大喜樂。耶路撒冷的居民（“居民”原文作“女子”）哪！應當歡呼。看哪！你的王來到你這裡了，他是公義的，是得勝的。他又是溫柔的，他騎著驢，騎的是小驢。
