我深知有如此、然人於天主前、焉得自辯為義、然人於天主前焉得自辯為義或作然人於天主前豈得視為有義若欲與天主爭辯、萬中不能答一、不能答一或作必不答一

凡恃行律法之功者、皆服詛、蓋經載云、凡不恆遵律法書所載而盡行之者、服詛也、

我赦爾凡爾所作之事、爾追憶前行、則自慚不已、不敢啟口、此乃主天主所言、

正直者見之歡喜、一切作惡者、不敢啟口、

然則何歟、我儕猶太人有所、勝乎、無有、我已明證猶太人、希拉人、皆服罪、

如是窮困者有望、不義者緘口無言、

爾欲服律法下者、且告我、爾不聽律法乎、

若爾為聖神所導、則不在律法下、

是皆為應其律法所載云、彼無故而惡我、

於猶太人我如猶太人、以得猶太人、於律法下者我如律法下、以得律法下者、於無律法者我如無律法、以得無律法者、實我在天主前非無律法、乃在基督之律法下、

天主不可見之事、即其永能、及其為天主之真、目不可見、自造天地以來、乃可明知、因觀其所造之物而悟、致人無由推諉、

耶穌曰、爾律法豈不載云、我曾言爾曹為神乎、夫經不可毀也、若奉天主命者、稱之為神、

曰、凡事多益、首要者、天主之詔託付之也、

眾聞此言、內心自罪、自長至幼、一一皆出、獨遺耶穌在、乃婦立於中、

致無人得誇於天主前、

語之曰、友乎、爾不衣禮服何至此乎、其人默然、君遂命僕繫其手足、執而投於外幽暗之地、在彼必有哀哭切齒、

蓋眾已獲罪、不得不得或作缺於天主之榮、

非也、當言天主為真、世人皆偽、如經載云、在爾言時得稱義、在爾被審時獲勝、

是以凡爾議人者、無可推諉、蓋爾何以議人、適以罪己、因爾所議者、己亦行之、凡行此者、我儕知天主必循真理審判之、

但按經、萬人皆在罪中、使所許之福、由信耶穌基督、可賜於諸信者、信之道尚未顯著、我眾為律法所守、而被拘以俟信之道顯著、

敬主虔誠人、主護其步履、使惡人亡於幽暗、蓋恃己力不能獲勝、

以贖律法下之人、使我眾得為子、
