The Lord has looked down from heaven upon the sons of mankind To see if there are any who understand, Who seek God.They have all turned aside, together they are corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one.Do all the workers of injustice not know, Who devour my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon the Lord?

“ I permitted Myself to be sought by those who did not ask for Me; I permitted Myself to be found by those who did not seek Me. I said,‘ Here am I, here am I,’ To a nation which did not call on My name.

For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,

“ For My people are foolish, They do not know Me; They are foolish children And have no understanding. They are skillful at doing evil, But they do not know how to do good.”

“ How long, you naive ones, will you love simplistic thinking? And how long will scoffers delight themselves in scoffing And fools hate knowledge?

Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord.They did not accept my advice, They disdainfully rejected every rebuke from me.

Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.And in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,‘ You shall keep on listening, but shall not understand; And you shall keep on looking, but shall not perceive;

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a depraved mind, to do those things that are not proper,

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one sown with seed beside the road.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Since you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I also will forget your children.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Though the pride of Israel testifies against him, Yet they have not returned to the Lord their God, Nor have they sought Him, despite all this.

Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.

And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

When its limbs are dry, they are broken off; Women come and make a fire with them, For they are not a people of discernment, Therefore their Maker will not have compassion on them. And their Creator will not be gracious to them.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help And rely on horses, And trust in chariots because they are many And in horsemen because they are very strong, But they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord!

Yet the people do not turn back to Him who struck them, Nor do they seek the Lord of armies.

Pay attention, you stupid ones among the people; And when will you understand, foolish ones?

Claiming to be wise, they became fools,

Who is the Almighty, that we should serve Him, And what would we gain if we plead with Him?’Behold, their prosperity is not in their hand; The advice of the wicked is far from me.

Have the workers of injustice no knowledge, Who eat up My people like they ate bread, And have not called upon God?
