For indeed circumcision is of value if you practice the Law; but if you are a violator of the Law, your circumcision has turned into uncircumcision.

爾遵法、則割禮有益、爾犯法、雖已割若未割然、

爾若遵行律法、割禮有益、若犯律法、雖受割禮、亦若未受、

爾苟能遵法而行、割禮固屬有益；如仍犯法、則雖受割、亦猶未割。

Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised.

Circumcision has value if you obey the law. But if you break the law, it is just as if you hadn’t been circumcised.

For circumcision indeed is of value if you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision.

The Jewish ceremony of circumcision has value only if you obey God’s law. But if you don’t obey God’s law, you are no better off than an uncircumcised Gentile.

Circumcision benefits you if you observe the law, but if you are a lawbreaker, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

For circumcision is indeed profitable if you keep the law; but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

“ You men who are stiff necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears are always resisting the Holy Spirit; you are doing just as your fathers did.

“ Moreover, the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the hearts of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul, so that you may live.

Circumcise yourselves to the Lord And remove the foreskins of your hearts, Men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Or else My wrath will spread like fire And burn with no one to quench it, Because of the evil of your deeds.”

For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.

You who boast in the Law, through your breaking the Law, do you dishonor God?

And I testify again to every man who has himself circumcised, that he is obligated to keep the whole Law.You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the Law; you have fallen from grace.For we, through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness.For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.

“ Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ that I will punish all who are circumcised and yet uncircumcised—Egypt, Judah, Edom, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and all those inhabiting the desert who trim the hair on their temples; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised of heart.”

Therefore remember that previously you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called“ Uncircumcision” by the so called“ Circumcision” which is performed in the flesh by human hands—remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the people of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from people, but from God.Then what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the benefit of circumcision?Great in every respect. First, that they were entrusted with the actual words of God.

and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while uncircumcised, so that he might be the father of all who believe without being circumcised, that righteousness might be credited to them,and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also follow in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham which he had while uncircumcised.
