蓋正如經之所言：『因爾之故、天主之名、為世詬病。』

As it is written:“ God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”

It is written,“ The Gentiles say evil things against God’s name because of you.”( Isaiah 52:5; Ezekiel 36:22)

For, as it is written,“ The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”

No wonder the Scriptures say,“ The Gentiles blaspheme the name of God because of you.”

For, as it is written: The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.

For“ the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.

For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, even as it is written.

For, as it is written: The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.

For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

For just as it is written,“ the name of God is being blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”

For“ the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” just as it is written.

When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned My holy name, because it was said of them,‘ These are the people of the Lord, yet they have left His land.’But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations where they went.“ Therefore say to the house of Israel,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ It is not for your sake, house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went.And I will vindicate the holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them. And now, what do I have here,” declares the Lord,“ seeing that My people have been taken away without reason?” Again the Lord declares,“ Those who rule over them howl, and My name is continually reviled all day long.

Many will follow their indecent behavior, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned;

All who pass along the way Clap their hands in ridicule at you; They hiss and shake their heads At the daughter of Jerusalem:“ Is this the city of which they said,‘ Perfect in beauty, A joy to all the earth’?”All your enemies Have opened their mouths wide against you; They hiss and gnash their teeth. They say,“ We have engulfed her! This certainly is the day which we awaited; We have reached it, we have seen it!”

However, since by this deed you have shown utter disrespect for the Lord, the child himself who is born to you shall certainly die.”

sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.

Therefore, I want younger widows to get married, have children, manage their households, and give the enemy no opportunity for reproach;

All who are under the yoke as slaves are to regard their own masters as worthy of all honor so that the name of God and our doctrine will not be spoken against.

“ Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks! For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to the person through whom the stumbling block comes!

to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.
