But if thou bearest the name of a Jew, and restest upon the law, and gloriest in God,

你稱為猶太人，又倚靠律法，且指着神誇口；

但是你，你既自稱為猶太人，倚靠律法，以上帝誇口，

但是你，你既自稱為猶太人，倚靠律法，以神誇口，

你自稱是猶太人，倚仗上帝所賜的律法，自誇與上帝有特別的關係；

你身為猶太人，倚靠律法，仗著神誇口，

但是你呢、你既名為猶太人，既依靠着律法，並拿上帝來誇口；

你既然稱為猶太人，依靠律法，以神誇耀；

爾名為猶太人、以律自恃、以上帝自詡、

爾稱為猶太人、以律法是依、以識上帝為榮、

爾稱為猶太人、以律法是依、以天主為榮、為榮或作自誇

倘爾擁有猶太人之名、以法為恃、以天主為誇、

Now you, if you call yourself a Jew; if you rely on the law and boast in God;

Suppose you call yourself a Jew. You trust in the law. You brag that you know God.

But if you call yourself a Jew and rely on the law and boast in God

You who call yourselves Jews are relying on God’s law, and you boast about your special relationship with him.

Now if you call yourself a Jew, and rely on the law, and boast in God,

But if you call yourself a Jew and rely upon the Law and boast in God,

Indeed you are called a Jew, and rest on the law, and make your boast in God,

Now if you call yourself a Jew, and rest in the law, boast in God,

Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,

But if you call yourself a Jew and rely on the law and boast of your relationship to God

Indeed you bear the name of a Jew, rest on the law, glory in God,

The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet they lean upon Jehovah, and say, Is not Jehovah in the midst of us? no evil shall come upon us.

thou who gloriest in the law, through thy transgression of the law dishonorest thou God?

Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah; who swear by the name of Jehovah, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness( for they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; Jehovah of hosts is his name):

Think not that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, on whom ye have set your hope.

and think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

who are Israelites; whose is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.But it is not as though the word of God hath come to nought. For they are not all Israel, that are of Israel:neither, because they are Abraham’s seed, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

In Jehovah shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

Behold, I give of the synagogue of Satan, of them that say they are Jews, and they are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

And they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are disciples of Moses.We know that God hath spoken unto Moses: but as for this man, we know not whence he is.

Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by works. They stumbled at the stone of stumbling;

for we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh:though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh: if any other man thinketh to have confidence in the flesh, I yet more:circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;as touching zeal, persecuting the church; as touching the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.Howbeit what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ.

Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, are these.For if ye thoroughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye thoroughly execute justice between a man and his neighbor;if ye oppress not the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your own hurt:then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, from of old even for evermore.Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods that ye have not known,and come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered; that ye may do all these abominations?

I know thy tribulation, and thy poverty( but thou art rich), and the blasphemy of them that say they are Jews, and they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

They answered unto him, We are Abraham’s seed, and have never yet been in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

In that day shalt thou not be put to shame for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me; for then I will take away out of the midst of thee thy proudly exulting ones, and thou shalt no more be haughty in my holy mountain.

And I say unto you, that many shall come from the east and the west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven:but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast forth into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh:but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you doeth the law? Why seek ye to kill me?

Ye do the works of your father. They said unto him, We were not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars: I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and thou art dead.

Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.

We being Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,

Wherefore remember, that once ye, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called Circumcision, in the flesh, made by hands;

For Jehovah hath chosen Jacob unto himself, And Israel for his own possession.
