Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that you learned. Avoid them,

兄弟乎、我求爾凡啟分爭、置機檻、異乎爾所學之道者、宜慎而避之、

我勸兄弟、慎諸背教、釁隙陷人於罪者、宜避之、

兄弟乎、爾中有人起釁隙、置妨礙、以反爾所學之道、我勸爾慎視慎視或作謹防之、且避之、

務懇我兄弟謹防一般離間人心、引人陷罪、背叛爾向所受之教義者；望避之若浼也。

I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

I am warning you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who try to keep you from staying together. They want to trip you up. They teach you things opposite to what you have learned. Stay away from them.

I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.

And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them.

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them.

Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them that are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which ye learned: and turn away from them.

Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them.

These people create divisions and are worldly, not having the Spirit.

If anyone teaches false doctrine and does not agree with the sound teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the teaching that promotes godliness,he is conceited and understands nothing, but has an unhealthy interest in disputes and arguments over words. From these come envy, quarreling, slander, evil suspicions,and constant disagreement among people whose minds are depraved and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a way to material gain.

Now we command you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from every brother or sister who is idle and does not live according to the tradition received from us.

Reject a divisive person after a first and second warning.

holding to the form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people.

Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elements of the world, rather than Christ.

As I urged you when I went to Macedonia, remain in Ephesus so that you may instruct certain people not to teach false doctrine

If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take note of that person; don’t associate with him, so that he may be ashamed.Yet don’t consider him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.

There were indeed false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, and will bring swift destruction on themselves.Many will follow their depraved ways, and the way of truth will be maligned because of them.

This matter arose because some false brothers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus in order to enslave us.

Join in imitating me, brothers and sisters, and pay careful attention to those who live according to the example you have in us.

I wrote to you in a letter not to associate with sexually immoral people.I did not mean the immoral people of this world or the greedy and swindlers or idolaters; otherwise you would have to leave the world.But actually, I wrote you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister and is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or verbally abusive, a drunkard or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person.

Woe to the world because of offenses. For offenses will inevitably come, but woe to that person by whom the offense comes.

because you are still worldly. For since there is envy and strife among you, are you not worldly and behaving like mere humans?

not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are troubling you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, a curse be on him!As we have said before, I now say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, a curse be on him!

Watch out for the dogs, watch out for the evil workers, watch out for those who mutilate the flesh.For we are the circumcision, the ones who worship by the Spirit of God, boast in Christ Jesus, and do not put confidence in the flesh—

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, that there be no divisions among you, and that you be united with the same understanding and the same conviction.For it has been reported to me about you, my brothers and sisters, by members of Chloe’s people, that there is rivalry among you.What I am saying is this: One of you says,“ I belong to Paul,” or“ I belong to Apollos,” or“ I belong to Cephas,” or“ I belong to Christ.”Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in Paul’s name?

If he doesn’t pay attention to them, tell the church. If he doesn’t pay attention even to the church, let him be like a Gentile and a tax collector to you.

For to begin with, I hear that when you come together as a church there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it.

Since we have heard that some without our authorization went out from us and troubled you with their words and unsettled your hearts,

Some men came down from Judea and began to teach the brothers,“ Unless you are circumcised according to the custom prescribed by Moses, you cannot be saved.”After Paul and Barnabas had engaged them in serious argument and debate, Paul and Barnabas and some others were appointed to go up to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem about this issue.When they had been sent on their way by the church, they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and they brought great joy to all the brothers and sisters.When they arrived at Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church, the apostles, and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them.But some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said,“ It is necessary to circumcise them and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”

They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.

He said to his disciples,“ Offenses will certainly come, but woe to the one through whom they come!
