惟假吾之手而已。或以言語、或以行為、或以聖蹟、異能、何一非聖神之妙工乎？吾傳基督福音、足跡已遍耶路撒冷及其周圍之地、直達伊利利亞。

He has given me power to do signs and wonders. I can do these things by the power of the Spirit of God. From Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum I have finished preaching. In those places, I preached the good news about Christ.

吾在爾中、以百折不撓之忍耐、用盡種種聖蹟、靈異、奇能、尚不能為宗徒之佐證乎？

且天主更按聖意、疊用異兆靈異、廣施聖蹟、及聖神之妙果、為之證明；不亦信而有徵乎？

夫天主既賜爾以聖神、又於爾中廣施靈蹟、彼之為此、憑律法乎？抑憑信德乎？

故靈賦雖萬有不齊、而聖神則一；所司之事雖殊、而所事之主則同；功效雖變化無窮、而所以致之者、則為推動萬有之唯一天主也。且聖神所授予各人之啟牖、莫非為眾人之益耳。或感聖神而受妙諦、或感同一聖神而受智辯、或受篤信、或受療疾之能、或行靈蹟、或作預言、或識別神之真偽、或操方言、或譯方言；凡此皆同一聖神之妙工、隨意所悅、以施於人。

天主假葆樂之手、廣行非凡聖蹟、甚至有人自葆樂之身、取巾或帷裙以去、置於病者之身、病即霍然、厲鬼亦出。

眾皆默然。後聆巴拿巴、葆樂詳述天主假其手在異邦人中所行之靈異神蹟。

當時惟主佑我、充我以大無畏精神、俾我猶克從容布道於異邦人、且竟能安然脫出獅口。

後予返耶路撒冷、於殿中祈禱時、神遊象外、見主語予曰：「速離耶路撒冷、勿延；以汝為予作證、其人必不領受。」予曰：「主乎、彼等詎不知予前曾將信主者置於獄中、又於各會堂中侮辱而鞭撻之；且主之證人司諦文遇害流血時、予亦在場、顧而樂之、並為兇手守衣焉。」主曰：「去！予將遣汝遠適異邦。」』眾聞彼陳述至此、高呼曰：『此人實無可生之理、地所不載、盍共除之！』

與爾盡數日之歡、然後由爾歡送、壯我行色。

然聖神降臨、將賜爾等以神力、而爾等將為予作證、始自耶路撒冷、繼及猶太沙瑪里、終至普天率土、無遠不屆。』

倘吾賴天主之神以祛魔、則天主之國已臨爾矣。

在別加傳道既畢、轉亞大利、

除酵日後、吾儕自斐力比起椗、五日至特羅亞、與彼等相會、勾留七日。

當亞波羅在格林多時、葆樂經高原而至依法所、遇數徒、問之曰：

遂與耶路撒冷門徒出入相共、奉主名以傳道、無所顧忌；且與操希臘語之猶太人辯論、而若輩意圖殺之。

厥後葆樂離雅典、抵格林多、

彼等且逆知其所預言諸事、非為本身、乃為爾等。凡此奧義、即眾天神亦渴欲一窺、而爾曹則因布道者憑天主所遣聖神之靈感、而得諦聽矣

王臣曰：『主乎！及吾兒未死、懇即辱臨！』

諸徒方環立、而葆樂起矣！逕入城翌日、偕巴拿巴赴德本傳福音、

葆樂等則由別加赴彼西底之安提阿。禮日、登會堂而坐、

凡屬有益於爾、未嘗或隱、無論在眾前、或在私宅、諄諄誨爾、知無不言、

至依法所、留百基拉、亞吉拉於此。已復入會堂、與猶太人辯解。

是實天主所托於我、對爾等應盡之本分、亦所以發揚天主之道也。

二人當眾拂去足塵、而赴以哥念；門徒皆大歡喜、備受聖神。

巴拿巴、掃羅既奉聖神之遣、乃赴西流基、乘舟至居比路。既抵撒拉米、在猶太會堂宣揚主道、若望輔之。

葆樂一行、以聖神禁其傳道於亞細亞、乃經弗呂家、加拉大、及抵每西亞境、欲赴庇推尼、而耶穌之神靈又不之許、遂越每西亞而抵特羅亞。葆樂夜得異象、見一馬其頓人立而請曰：『駕臨馬其頓、以助吾人！』葆樂既見異象、乃知天主命吾儕傳福音於馬其頓、吾儕遂急圖一往。自特羅亞揚帆逕至撒摩持喇；次日經尼波利而抵斐立比、斐立比者馬其頓之首邑、而羅馬之殖民地也、吾儕因作數日逗留。

如是者多日；葆樂不勝其擾、乃顧為鬼曰：『吾奉耶穌基督之名、命汝即離其身！』鬼出、

事為二人所覺、乃避之呂高尼、

葆樂既抵雅典、命護送者返、以催西拉、蒂茂德之至。

是夜、同人即送葆樂、西拉赴庇哩亞；既至、共入猶太人之會堂、

乃揚聲而謂之曰：『爾其挺立！』其人即一躍而起、且行。

吾對希臘人與化外人、智與不智、皆負有傳道之義務。故為爾等羅馬同人、闡述福音、亦為當務之急。蓋吾不以福音為恥也。福音乃天主之神力、用以救度信徒、始于猶太、爰及希臘。
