蓋我生為主而生、我死為主而死、故或生或死、皆屬主、

我聞自天有聲語我曰、爾當筆之於書、今而後、信主而死者、乃為有福、聖神曰、然、蓋彼息其勞、其功亦隨之、○

彼為基督之事、瀕死不顧己命、欲補爾事我之不足、

然我不以此為意、亦不以我生命為貴、惟思歡然前趨、以盡我程途、及我於主耶穌所受之職、以證天主恩寵之福音、

耶穌言此、蓋指彼得將如何而死、以榮天主、言竟、謂彼得曰、從我、

或保羅、或亞波羅、或磯法、或世界、或生、或死、或今時、或來時、皆屬爾、且爾曹屬基督、基督屬天主、
