以期優遊於光天化日之下乎？醉生夢死、沉湎酒色、嫉妒鬥狠、皆非所宜。

Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.

Let us act as we should, like people living in the daytime. Have nothing to do with wild parties, and don’t get drunk. Don’t take part in sexual sins or evil conduct. Don’t fight with each other or be jealous of anyone.

Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy.

Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don’t participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy.

Let us walk with decency, as in the daytime: not in carousing and drunkenness; not in sexual impurity and promiscuity; not in quarreling and jealousy.

For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality;that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God;

“ But be on your guard, so that your hearts will not be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that this day will not come on you suddenly, like a trap;

For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of indecent behavior, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties, and wanton idolatries.In all this, they are surprised that you do not run with them in the same excesses of debauchery, and they slander you;but they will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

And do not get drunk with wine, in which there is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,

Or do you think that the Scripture says to no purpose,“ He jealously desires the Spirit whom He has made to dwell in us”?

the one who says that he remains in Him ought, himself also, walk just as He walked.

For, while speaking out arrogant words of no value they entice by fleshly desires, by indecent behavior, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error,promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what anyone is overcome, by this he is enslaved.For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.

Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander,and like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,

Beloved, I urge you as foreigners and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul.Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God on the day of visitation.

So then, be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise,

But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,

so that you would walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.

so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow the Spirit as well.Let’s not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.

But if that evil slave says in his heart,‘ My master is not coming for a long time,’and he begins to beat his fellow slaves, and he eats and drinks with those habitually drunk;then the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know,and he will cut him in two and assign him a place with the hypocrites; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

And these also reel with wine and stagger from intoxicating drink: The priest and the prophet reel with intoxicating drink, They are confused by wine, they stagger from intoxicating drink; They reel while having visions, They stagger when rendering a verdict.For all the tables are full of filthy vomit, without a single clean place.

people were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, and they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, and they were building;

Do not be with heavy drinkers of wine, Or with gluttonous eaters of meat;

They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.

Therefore, treat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.

pray without ceasing,

Those who lie on beds of ivory, And lounge around on their couches, And eat lambs from the flock, And calves from the midst of the fattened cattle,Who improvise to the sound of the harp, And like David have composed songs for themselves,Who drink wine from sacred bowls While they anoint themselves with the finest of oils— Yet they have not grieved over the collapse of Joseph.

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves;

“ Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, enjoying himself in splendor every day.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

for you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light

So I say this, and affirm in the Lord, that you are to no longer walk just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their minds,

however, let’s keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.Brothers and sisters, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us.For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even as I weep, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ,whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who have their minds on earthly things.For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;

suffering wrong as the wages of doing wrong. They count it a pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are stains and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions as they feast with you,having eyes full of adultery that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having hearts trained in greed, accursed children;

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.

Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints;and there must be no filthiness or foolish talk, or vulgar joking, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.For this you know with certainty, that no sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, which amounts to an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.

Therefore on that day the Lord God of armies called you to weeping, to wailing, To shaving the head, and to wearing sackcloth.Instead, there is joy and jubilation, Killing of cattle and slaughtering of sheep, Eating of meat and drinking of wine:“ Let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we may die.”

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor those habitually drunk, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

For these people are not drunk, as you assume, since it is only the third hour of the day;

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior,
