剪虫吃剩的，蝗虫来吃；蝗虫吃剩的，蝻子来吃；蝻子吃剩的，蚂蚱来吃。

我差遣到你们中间的大军队，就是蝗虫、蝻子、蚂蚱、剪虫，那些年间所吃的，我要补还给你们。

但是不许蝗虫害死他们，只可使他们受痛苦五个月；这痛苦就像人被蝎子螫了的痛苦一样。

它们有尾巴像蝎子，长着毒刺，尾巴上的毒刺有能力伤害人五个月。它们有无底坑的使者作它们的王，按着希伯来话名叫亚巴顿，希腊话名叫亚玻伦。

我父亲使你们负重轭，现在我必使你们负更重的轭！我父亲用鞭子惩罚你们，我要用蝎子惩罚你们！’”

米甸人、亚玛力人和所有东边的人都散布在平原，如同蝗虫那样多。他们的骆驼无数，多如海边的沙。

在那里，火要吞灭你，刀必杀戮你，如蝻子般吞灭你。你人数增多如蝻子，增多如蝗虫吧！

你若不肯放我的百姓走，看哪，明天我要使蝗虫进入你的境内，遮满地面，甚至地也看不见了。它们要吃那冰雹后所剩，就是留给你们的；并且要吃那生长在田间的一切树木。你的宫殿和你众臣仆的房屋，以及一切埃及人的房屋，都要被蝗虫占满；你祖宗和你祖宗的祖宗在世以来，直到今日都没有见过。’”摩西就转身离开法老出去。法老的臣仆对法老说：“这家伙成为我们的罗网要到几时呢？让这些人去事奉耶和华—他们的神吧！埃及快要灭亡了，你还不知道吗？”于是摩西和亚伦被召回来见法老。法老对他们说：“去，事奉耶和华—你们的神吧！但要去的是哪些人呢？”摩西说：“我们要带着年老的和年少的同去，要带着我们的儿子和女儿，以及我们的羊群牛群一起去，因为我们要向耶和华守节。”法老对他们说：“愿耶和华与你们同在吧！我若让你们带着你们的孩子同去，看，灾祸就在你们面前！不可都去！你们壮年人去事奉耶和华吧，因为这是你们所求的。”于是法老把他们从自己面前赶出去。耶和华对摩西说：“你向埃及地伸出你的手，使蝗虫上到埃及地，吃地上冰雹后所剩一切的植物。”摩西就向埃及地伸杖；整整一昼一夜，耶和华使东风刮在埃及地上，到了早晨，东风把蝗虫刮了来。蝗虫上到埃及全地，落在埃及全境，非常厉害；蝗虫这么多，是空前绝后的。蝗虫遮满地面，地上一片黑暗。它们吃尽了地上一切的植物和冰雹过后所剩树上的果子。埃及全地，无论是树木，是田间的植物，连一点绿的也没有留下。

曾引领你经过那大而可怕的旷野，有火蛇、蝎子、干旱无水之地。他也曾为你使水从坚硬的磐石中流出来，

你，人子啊，虽有荆棘和蒺藜在你那里，你又住在蝎子中间，总不要怕他们，也不要怕他们的话；他们虽是悖逆之家，但你不要怕他们的话，也不要因他们的脸色惊惶。

你们的掳物必被敛尽，有如蚂蚱敛尽禾稼；人为掳物奔走，宛如蝗虫蹦跳。

你的领袖多如蝗虫，你的将军仿佛成群的蝗虫；天凉时齐落在篱笆上，太阳一出就飞去，人不知道落在何处。

我已经给你们权柄可以践踏蛇和蝎子，又胜过仇敌一切的能力，绝没有什么能害你们。
