Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne.

又一天使執金香爐來、立於祭臺側、又得多香、以與聖徒祈禱、同獻於寶座前之金臺、

又一天神、捧金香爐而來、肅立祭壇之旁、受賜靈香無算、俾與諸聖之祈禱相和、而獻之於座前金壇之上。

Another angel came and stood at the altar. He had a shallow gold cup for burning incense. He was given a lot of incense to offer on the golden altar. The altar was in front of the throne. With the incense he offered the prayers of all God’s people.

And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne,

Then another angel with a gold incense burner came and stood at the altar. And a great amount of incense was given to him to mix with the prayers of God’s people as an offering on the gold altar before the throne.

Another angel, with a golden incense burner, came and stood at the altar. He was given a large amount of incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar in front of the throne.

And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty- four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.

The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar that is before God.

The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.

May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

which had the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. This ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.

And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers were praying outside.

My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to me, because my name will be great among the nations,” says the Lord Almighty.

the pure gold basins, wick trimmers, sprinkling bowls, dishes and censers; and the gold sockets for the doors of the innermost room, the Most Holy Place, and also for the doors of the main hall of the temple.

When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained.

But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.Azariah the priest with eighty other courageous priests of the Lord followed him in.They confronted King Uzziah and said,“ It is not right for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord. That is for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who have been consecrated to burn incense. Leave the sanctuary, for you have been unfaithful; and you will not be honored by the Lord God.”Uzziah, who had a censer in his hand ready to burn incense, became angry. While he was raging at the priests in their presence before the incense altar in the Lord’s temple, leprosy broke out on his forehead.When Azariah the chief priest and all the other priests looked at him, they saw that he had leprosy on his forehead, so they hurried him out. Indeed, he himself was eager to leave, because the Lord had afflicted him.

“ Make an altar of acacia wood for burning incense.It is to be square, a cubit long and a cubit wide, and two cubits high— its horns of one piece with it.Overlay the top and all the sides and the horns with pure gold, and make a gold molding around it.Make two gold rings for the altar below the molding— two on each of the opposite sides— to hold the poles used to carry it.Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.Put the altar in front of the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law— before the atonement cover that is over the tablets of the covenant law— where I will meet with you.“ Aaron must burn fragrant incense on the altar every morning when he tends the lamps.He must burn incense again when he lights the lamps at twilight so incense will burn regularly before the Lord for the generations to come.

They made the altar of incense out of acacia wood. It was square, a cubit long and a cubit wide and two cubits high— its horns of one piece with it.They overlaid the top and all the sides and the horns with pure gold, and made a gold molding around it.

He is to take a censer full of burning coals from the altar before the Lord and two handfuls of finely ground fragrant incense and take them behind the curtain.He is to put the incense on the fire before the Lord, and the smoke of the incense will conceal the atonement cover above the tablets of the covenant law, so that he will not die.

Moses placed the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the curtain

Then Moses said to Aaron,“ Take your censer and put incense in it, along with burning coals from the altar, and hurry to the assembly to make atonement for them. Wrath has come out from the Lord; the plague has started.”So Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the midst of the assembly. The plague had already started among the people, but Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for them.

I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and he said:“ Strike the tops of the pillars so that the thresholds shake. Bring them down on the heads of all the people; those who are left I will kill with the sword. Not one will get away, none will escape.

My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father— Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,and since we have a great priest over the house of God,let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

“ After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai.When he saw this, he was amazed at the sight. As he went over to get a closer look, he heard the Lord say:‘ I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.’ Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are— yet he did not sin.Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died— more than that, who was raised to life— is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.So Moses thought,“ I will go over and see this strange sight— why the bush does not burn up.”When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush,“ Moses! Moses!” And Moses said,“ Here I am.”“ Do not come any closer,” God said.“ Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”Then he said,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.The Lord said,“ I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey— the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them.So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”But Moses said to God,“ Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”And God said,“ I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”Moses said to God,“ Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them,‘ The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me,‘ What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”God said to Moses,“ I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites:‘ I am has sent me to you.’”God also said to Moses,“ Say to the Israelites,‘ The Lord, the God of your fathers— the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob— has sent me to you.’“ This is my name forever, the name you shall call me from generation to generation.“ Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them,‘ The Lord, the God of your fathers— the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob— appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt.And I have promised to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites— a land flowing with milk and honey.’“ The elders of Israel will listen to you. Then you and the elders are to go to the king of Egypt and say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God.’

Then he blessed Joseph and said,“ May the God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked faithfully, the God who has been my shepherd all my life to this day,the Angel who has delivered me from all harm— may he bless these boys. May they be called by my name and the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac, and may they increase greatly on the earth.”

Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:

Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like fiery pillars.
